Pitchers
- Home Before even seeing the starting pitcher, you can already see that you should avoid whoever it is. The Astros are expected to get hammered tonight. Sorry Jordan Lyles.
- Away C.J. Wilson should pick up a win tonight against these Astros and if their offense is like their usual selves, he should pick up a couple of extra strikeouts as well. Love C.J. Wilson tonight. Target
Batters
- Home The Astros are still the Astros. I don’t prefer taking bat hitters against a good pitcher. Avoid, however a sneaky play is Jose Altuve who does hit lefties well.
- Away Could this finally be a game to take Josh Hamilton? I think he has burned me about 10 times already this season, so I am not going to pull the trigger just yet. But he is worth a shot in these big qualifiers. Mike Trout, Albert Pujols, and Erick Aybar are all in play. Mini-stack here if you can.

Pitchers
- Home Jorge De La Rosa has had a pretty good season when you consider that half of his starts have been in Coors Field. The problem is that he is pitching at home tonight against the Yankees. Avoid Avoid Avoid
- Away Hiroki Kuroda would certainly be in play if this game was in New York, but the fact that it’s in Coors Field makes me want to run the other way. The Rockies just hit too well at home. Avoid
Batters
- Home Plenty of batters are in play today, even some of the left hand bats of the Yankees. I like Robinson Cano even though it is a lefty lefty matchup because I doubt De La Rosa lasts very long in this one anyway. Ichiro Suzuki is another lefty that could have a solid game as he is actually hitting better against lefties this season. Last but not least is Vernon Wells, he is my favorite Yankee tonight. I think he gets HR number 7 tonight.
- Away The Rockies are also in play tonight, but they have so many changes to their lineup every day that it’s hard to make recommendations until you see the lineup. But the obvious plays of Tulo and Cargo are solid and then once the lineup comes out, don’t be afraid to take a couple of their other batters.

Pitchers
- Home Eric Stults gets the matchup award of the night. He gets to face the Marlins in a pitcher’s park. While the Marlins offense shows up every so often, the numbers are on Stults side to pitch a solid game. He is also very cheap. Target
- Away The Padres aren’t the best offensive team, but they have been clicking lately and Alex Sanabia just hasn’t been that good for the Marlins. Avoid
Batters
- Home I don’t love taking Padres hitters, especially when they are at home. But if you must take someone, Chase Headley and Yonder Alonso are both swinging the bat well.
- Away The Marlins hitters are just way too inconsistent for me. Maybe take a shot with Justin Ruggiano in a GPP, but for the most part, just avoid hitters in this game.

Pitchers
- Home Josh Beckett continues to disappoint and Vegas continues to ignore it. He has an ERA over 5 this season and just can’t seem to get it together. I’m not taking him against the D-Backs who have hit well in this series.
- Away Brandon McCarthy got off to a slow start this season and then has continued that slow start. With a WHIP of 1.747, it’s hard to trust him at this point. Avoid
Batters
- Home I will continue taking Matt Kemp at his affordable price because of his upside. He hasn’t been scoring a ton of fantasy points, but he is getting singles which add up. Adrian Gonzalez also looks like a good play.
- Away The D-Backs don’t have a great history against Beckett, but I like the way Paul Goldschmidt is playing right now. He seems locked in. I also like the value for Cody Ross, when he is in the zone, there are few better.

Pitchers
- Home Last game of the night and it couldn’t come any sooner, my hands are starting to cramp. Tim Lincecum faces a Phillies team that rocked Bumgarner last night. If I know baseball, that means that Lincecum will surprise us and come out and pitch 7 scoreless innings with 8 K’s. For that reason, target!
- Away Kyle Kendrick has pitched very well this season, but I still don’t trust him when he is an underdog and his price on most sites is way too high. Avoid
Batters
- Home Hunter Pence isn’t usually on my radar, but he has been hot lately and makes a good play. Buster Posey is also in play.
- Away Like I said, the Phillies are going to get shut out by weed smoking Lincecum tonight. The reason why? Because it’s baseball and crazy things happen.
