What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 7.5
- Favored Team – KC -170
Pitcher Grind Down
KC – Ervin Santana has a very favorable matchup tonight against the White Sox. Santana has a 3.12 ERA at home and pitched very well against the White Sox in a start earlier in the season. He’s a pretty big favorite and has good upside tonight. Rating = 7
CWS – John Danks has a 5.13 ERA on the road while giving up a .276 batting average. He has not proven himself to be a consistent fantasy option and I think he is safe to ignore tonight against the Royals. Rating = 3
Batter Grind Down
KC – The Royals have a lot of left hand bats, but Danks has struggled against both lefties and righties. I will be targeting Salvador Perez, Billy Butler, and Alex Gordon tonight, all of them have high averages against lefties.
CWS – I don’t know what Alexei Ramirez is taking, but wow this guy is on fire. If you believe in taking hot players, than Ramirez is your guy. I think Santana pitches well here so I’m not taking any White Sox bats.

What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 7.5
- Favored Team – LAA -112
Pitcher Grind Down
LAA – C.J. Wilson has been very good at home this season with a 2.35 ERA and a 1.12 WHIP. I don’t love the matchup against the Indians though, I fell for the Jered Weaver trap last night and I don’t know if I can take another pitcher against this Indians offense. That said, Wilson is a slight favorite in a projected low scoring game. Rating = 6
CLE – Danny Salazar got his start pushed back one day and now faces the Angels tonight. He has shown a great ability to strike batters out over his first 3 starts and Vegas expects this to be a close game. If you can get Salazar at a big discount, he may be worth taking a shot on, but if he is in that middle tier of pitching options, I think there is better value out there. Rating = 5
Batter Grind Down
LAA – Without Mike Trout and Albert Pujols, this Angels lineup looks pathetic. They still have Trumbo and Hamilton, but the rest of the lineup is not very intimidating.
CLE – The Indians are a lot like the A’s in that they have a good offense, but it’s hard to determine which hitters are going to go off each night. C.J. Wilson is a good pitcher anyway, so I think it’s better to look elsewhere.

SEA vs R | SEA BvP | OAK vs L | OAK BvP
What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 8.5
- Favored Team – OAK -185
Pitcher Grind Down
OAK – Sonny Gray pitched a gem in his last start, granted it was against the Astros. He has a bit tougher matchup tonight against the Mariners who have a lot of left handed bats. I’m going to wait out one more start from Gray before taking a shot on him even though he is a big favorite tonight. Rating = 5
SEA – Joe Saunders is not a viable fantasy option at this point. He owns a 4.9 ERA and a 1.55 WHIP on the season and those numbers get even worse on the road. Time to think about an A’s stack! Rating = 2
Batter Grind Down
OAK – All of the A’s are in play tonight. Yoenis Cespedes, Jed Lowrie, Chris Young, and Derek Norris all hit lefties really well but I think all batters in the lineup are going to provide value. If you are looking for a team to stack, you found it.
SEA – Like I said, I think Gray is a bit overvalued tonight, this could be a sneaky spot to sneak a couple of Mariners into your lineup. Brad Miller and Kyle Seager both hit righties well and will not be very highly owned tonight.

PIT vs R | PIT BvP | SDP vs R | SDP BvP
What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 6.5
- Favored Team – PIT -125
Pitcher Grind Down
SD – Tyson Ross notched another strong start under his belt. He now has 5 straight starts with at least 6 K’s while allowing 2 or less earned runs. That streak is going to be hard to continue tonight against this tough Pirates team, but Ross has been on fire and is in one of the most pitcher friendly parks in baseball. Rating = 7
PIT – A.J. Burnett should be one of your top pitching options tonight. First off, he is pitching in Petco which like I said is a very pitcher friendly park. Second, he is facing a Padres offense that has disappeared over the last little bit. And third, Burnett has one of the highest K rates you will find at almost 10 per 9 innings. Don’t overthink this one, take Burnett tonight. Rating = 10
Batter Grind Down
SD/PIT – I really think that this game is going to end up being a 2-1 or 2-0 game that is a very boring one to watch if you like offense. Take either pitcher tonight, but don’t waste your salary on any of the hitters.

What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 7.5
- Favored Team – BOS -155
Pitcher Grind Down
SF – Ryan Vogelsong has really lost a lot of his velocity this season. Even a tiny dip in velocity can turn you from a good pitcher to a below average pitcher and that’s exactly what has happened to Vogelsong. He has a very tough matchup tonight against the Red Sox and I’m not expecting much from him. Rating = 2
BOS – Jake Peavy faces a Giants offense that is only batting .247 since the All-Star break. Their bats have gone cold and they have been a great team to take pitchers against. Peavy’s value tonight solely depends on his price on the site you are playing on, if he price is in that middle tier, don’t hesitate to take him, but if he is priced up there with the other top pitchers, I would pass. Rating = 8
Batter Grind Down
SF – Their offense has gone stagnant, the only hitter I really care for tonight is Buster Posey and that’s just because the catcher position is a tough one to fill.
BOS – Vogelsong is giving up a .360 average to right hand bats this season with an OPS over 1.00. This is a great spot for Dustin Pedroia and Shane Victorino. You also can’t go wrong with leadoff man Jacoby Ellsbury who has a great average against righties.
