What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 8.5
- Favored Team – BOS -150
Pitcher Grind Down
BOS – John Lackey gets the start tonight and he has been almost untouchable at home this season. He has posted a 1.90 ERA and a 1.04 WHIP there this season which is really impressive considering that it’s Fenway. His last two starts haven’t been great, but one was in Baltimore and the other was against the Yankees. I think he gets back on track tonight against the Mariners. Rating = 7
SEA – Hisashi Iwakuma is a high strike out pitcher, but he is much better at home than he is on the road. He really struggled in his one start against Boston earlier this season and only lasted 3 innings in that outing. Don’t see it going well for him tonight in Fenway. Rating = 4
Batter Grind Down
BOS – If this game goes anything like the first time the Sox faced Iwakuma, it could be a big night for Boston. David Oritz and Jacoby Ellsbury both have the splits in their favor and Dustin Pedroia finally broke out of his slump.
SEA – Raul Ibanez has hit Lackey well in his career, but he has really slowed down lately and the way Lackey is pitching I would ignore those BvP numbers. Maybe take a shot on Brad Miller, he can hit for power against right hand pitchers.

What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 10.5
- Favored Team – TEX -150
Pitcher Grind Down
TEX – Martin Perez hasn’t been bad this season, but both Matt Garza and Derek Holland struggled against the Angels and they are much better pitchers. This over/under is too high for me. Rating = 3
LAA – Jerome Williams has not been good on the road and is a big underdog in the highest over/under game of the night. No thank you. Rating = 1
Batter Grind Down
TEX – If you are going to stack tonight, this is the game that you want to do it on. I love all bats from both teams tonight. Ian Kinsler, Adrian Beltre, and Elvis Andrus are my favorites though.
LAA – Mike Trout has now gotten on base 10 consecutive plate appearances which is 2 shy of the club record. He could easily break that tonight against Perez. Josh Hamilton has a lefty/lefty matchup but he is locked in right now and I think he offers good value for the price. Finally, Howie Kendrick is good against lefties. Load up on hitters from this game.

MIL vs R | MIL BvP | CHC vs R | CHC BvP
What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 8.0
- Favored Team – CHC -125
Pitcher Grind Down
CHC – Edwin Jackson is the slight favorite in this one and if you look at his game log, he has actually put together 5 straight quality outings. Now he gets to face a short handed Brewers offense. Jackson has always been a pitcher with a decent K rate and I think he makes a very good under the radar play tonight. Rating = 7
MIL – Wily Peralta has also turned things around, well as long as you throw out his last start which was in Coors. Peralta looks like the guy that we saw last season, but he still has his struggles on the road. I have a hard time picturing this game getting close to that over/under and think both pitchers are in play. Rating = 5
Batter Grind Down
CHC – Anthony Rizzo is in play against right hand pitching, especially considering the fact that Peralta has given up an OPS of .780 against lefties. He has been cold lately though so tread lightly.
MIL – Even though I think Jackson is a good play tonight, it’s hard to ignore what Carlos Gomez is doing right now. Check out his game log over the last week or so. He is in play until he cools off.

What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 8.5
- Favored Team – KC -110
Pitcher Grind Down
MIN – Kevin Correia gets the start tonight and if you play on a site with only one pitcher spot, you can completely ignore him. Even on sites with multiple pitcher sites, he’s not that appealing because he doesn’t get a lot of K’s and the Royals don’t strike out. He could be in line for the win though Rating = 4
KC – Jeremy Guthrie gets the start and if you don’t know Guthrie, you should know that he is a fly ball pitcher that gives up a lot of home runs. The Twins don’t have a ton of power bats, but they do have a few with decent pop. If Guthrie can keep it in the park, he could have a decent game, but I’m not willing to bet on it. Rating = 3
Batter Grind Down
MIN – Justin Morneau, Joe Mauer, and Trevor Plouffe. Those are the only names that you need to worry about on the Twins. I have a feeling one of them with homer tonight.
KC – The Royals aren’t a great offense, but they can sure hit singles and doubles. And Kevin Correia isn’t scaring anyone. Salvador Perez is a great option if you want to punt the catcher position.

NYY vs L | NYY BvP | LAD vs R | LAD BvP
What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 6.0
- Favored Team – LAD -180
Pitcher Grind Down
LAD – Clayton Kershaw is hands down the best pitcher on the board tonight. Everyone knows how good he is so I won’t go into his stats, but the Yankees really struggle against left hand pitchers and I think Kershaw could throw one of his double digit strike out games. Rating = 10
NYY – Hiroki Kuroda faces his old team tonight, but I don’t think the revenge factor means much in this one. The Dodgers offense has been on fire and Kuroda is a huge underdog. Rating = 4
Batter Grind Down
LAD – I think this will be a very low scoring game, probably even lower than the over/under total. I think the Dodgers find a way to score a few runs, but there are better options out there, especially considering the inflated price of the Dodgers bats.
NYY – Kershaw is pitching remember?
