What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
CheeseIsGood: This is another slate where the top tier of offenses is so big and jumbled that I prefer MME. I can sort of get my top-10 offenses ranked into a list, but essentially, I want about an even amount of all of them. Pitching is very dicey if you can’t do double spend-ups, and even if you can, there are some question marks with matchups. For that reason, I’m going to play some total nonsense on DK like German Marquez to save salary at SP2.
Krayton: I will be playing single-entry and 20-entry max contests. I will have a very small pitching pool and be very overweight on Spencer Strider and Chad Patrick. I will also be using German Marquez as my SP2 on DK, as he is simply too cheap and allows me to get the bigger bats. I like having a core group of pitchers to build around, allowing me to spread out a little more with the stacks.
TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field GPPs. Despite the big slate, I plan to have an incredibly small pitching pool of Spencer Strider, Chad Patrick, Luis Severino, and German Marquez. The last two will just be some darts so I can afford expensive bats, but Strider and Patrick will be by far the pitchers I roster the most.
Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

About the Author

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
