What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
stlcardinals84: I will be playing around 20 entries in the larger-field contests. I really like taking some chances with cheaper pitchers, with Ben Brown feeling a bit too cheap on FD and Michael Soroka basically being priced near the minimum on DK. This allows me the freedom to spend up on high-end bats, which makes it easier to get to the Yankees on FD and upside teams like the Red Sox on DK.
Krayton: I will be playing single-entry contests and 20-entry max on both sites. I will be locking in Michael Soroka on DK, and I am also looking to pay down a bit on FanDuel so I can get the Yankees bats that I want. Ben Brown, Will Warren, and Michael Soroka are all options I am looking at on FanDuel. My favorite spend-up pitcher is Logan Henderson, as he gets a great matchup against PIT.
TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field GPPs. I’ll keep a tight pool of pitchers focused on Robbie Ray, Logan Henderson, Sonny Gray, and Kris Bubic. I’ll also be heavily overweight on Michael Soroka.
Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

About the Author

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
