MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Tuesday, April 28

Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

CheeseIsGood: Juan Soto
headChopper: Bobby Witt Jr.
stevietpfl: Bobby Witt Jr.
Dean78904: Juan Soto

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

CheeseIsGood: I do not have a strong preference for large-field vs. small-field contests tonight. I do not think we are going to have any mega-chalk to worry about, and my pool is mid-sized on both the pitching and hitting sides. In these instances, I build an equal number of MME and single-entry lineups. My closest thing to a stand is being underweight on the Dodgers, and I will also be underweight on Jacob deGrom on both sites and Shohei Ohtani on DK.

headChopper: I am playing 1 lineup on each site in small-field tournaments. With 10 games and multiple solid pitching and hitting options, it shouldn’t be too hard getting unique. On DK, I’ll take one elite option at pitcher, probably Logan Gilbert, and then form my hitters and come back to SP2 last. My hitting will be some form of multiple smaller stacks (e.g 3/3, 3/2, etc.). Not sure I’ll get to a 4-man or 5-man stack on DK unless it’s organic. On FD, I might just do a 4-man stack with all one-offs after that.

stevietpfl: I’m going to focus on small-field tournaments. We have 4-8 strong pitchers and 4-8 high-upside stacks, which should spread out ownership. Depending on lineups, I want to be overweight on Davis Martin and Edward Cabrera. They’re both pitching great against righties and project to face righty-heavy lineups. I’ll be different with those pitchers. As far as offense, I’m just going to play what I think are the top offenses. I like the Royals, Mets, Braves, Brewers, and Diamondbacks.

Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field contests. I plan on running out some combination of Shohei Ohtani, Jose Soriano, Cam Schlittler, Jacob deGrom, and Logan Gilbert, as I will prioritize paying up for arms. There is no MUST-roster offense for me, but I expect to prioritize attacking the early home run issues for Zack Littell and Merrill Kelly with the Mets and Brewers. The Royals, Dodgers, and D-Backs are also in the circle of trust in terms of offenses I’m targeting. I probably won’t end up with traditional 4-4 or 5-3 stacks and will more likely land on 3-3-2 / 4-2-1-1 types of stacks.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
