What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

CheeseIsGood: I am completely confounded by what to do with the Cardinals. Bradley Blalock is so horrendous that I can’t see any way they don’t score a ton of runs. But they also have nowhere near the individual talent of so many other teams on this slate who are also facing beatable pitchers. I guess I’m just going to mostly fade the Cardinals and hope their 10+ runs come from a bunch of singles. I am going to play mostly smaller-field tournaments, where all of these other teams with a high ceiling should be relatively low owned: Cubs, Yankees, Rays, Mets, and Dodgers. But more than any of them, I’ll start with the Rockies as my pivot off of the Cardinals. I will keep a narrowed-down pitching pool, with mostly Logan Gilbert, Jacob deGrom, and Jacob Misiorowski on the high end, and Frankie Montas and maybe some Eduardo Rodriguez or even J.T. Ginn for value.

headChopper: Similar to yesterday with a similar slate, I’ll be playing one lineup in single entry and small fields on DK and running 150 lineups in large-field multi-entry on FD. I plan on taking a stance on stacks, and by cutting my stack list down to five teams early on, I’ll naturally be well overweight on those teams.

stevietpfl: I’m going to focus on smaller-field contests tonight. I plan on being underweight on Coors Field and overweight on the Cubs, Giants, and Braves. I think they have the same type of ceiling with much lower pOWN%. For pitching, I want to spend up as much as possible. I don’t love any of the cheaper pitching options.

Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field contests. I just don’t expect to mess around at SP. The opportunity cost is big, and I expect to have at least one of Logan Gilbert, Jacob deGrom, or Jacob Misiorowski in every DK lineup I make. Officially, I don’t know where I’ll land with the Cardinals, but ideally, I want to be under the field on them. The Cubs are my favorite pivot, as they are facing 45-year-old Rich Hill. The cheap Astros will be the first place I look to make things work as far as salary.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
