What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

CheeseIsGood: I have a preference for smaller-field tournaments tonight. I find a ginormous group of second-tier stacks that I can’t really separate, and even in 150 lineups, I’d feel like I’m just throwing darts. With a smaller number of lineups, I can concentrate on getting over the field on the five stacks I like, with just a handful of one-offs beyond that. Those five are the Yankees, Phillies, A’s, Royals, and Mariners. At pitcher, I’m really only using Tyler Glasnow as a spend-up, and then I will rotate between Michael Soroka, Yusei Kikuchi, and Lucas Giolito.

headChopper: I’m running 1 lineup on DraftKings and 1 lineup on FanDuel, both in smaller-field, limited-entry contests. Early projections show elevated ownership on offenses like the Dodgers and Royals, but I’m comfortable fading both. I might still one-off Bobby Witt Jr., but I won’t be stacking either team. One path I’m considering is a full game stack elsewhere – with temps pushing 90 degrees in Sacramento, the ball should be flying.

stevietpfl: I’m going to focus on single-entry contests. There are a lot of great offenses and 8+ pitchers worth playing. I don’t feel like 20-150 lineups is enough to cover everything on this slate, so I’m going to focus on 3-5 lineups and be overweight on my top offenses and pitchers. I like the A’s, Giants, Yankees, and Mariners.

Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field contests. Officially, I like a lot of things on this slate, but I don’t love anything. I don’t expect to get goofy with pitching, as ideally my pool will be limited to Tyler Glasnow, Max Fried, Michael Soroka, Sonny Gray, Yusei Kikuchi, and Jesus Luzardo. There is no pitcher that I’m afraid of fading, and I’ll just roster whoever fits from this group. Similar to my SP approach, there is no stack I’d fear not having. My favorite teams to target are the Royals, Red Sox, and Angels, but what I really want is to be over the field on the SEA/ATH game.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
