What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
stevietpfl: I’m going to be focusing on 3-entry-max and 20-entry-max contests. I like multiple offenses and want to spread out my exposure on bats. It’s a slate where I could see 4-6 teams score 8+ runs. I want to focus on the Cubs, Rangers, Athletics, Twins, Red Sox (FD), and Dodgers. Typically, I like to narrow down my pitching pool, but I’m struggling with that today. I want exposure to Logan Webb, Freddy Peralta, David Festa, Bowden Francis, Andrew Heaney, Michael Lorenzen, and Eduardo Rodriguez. I’ll use LineupHQ to focus on my stacks and limit my max pitcher ownership to 40%.
stlcardinals84: I will play around 20 entries in the large-field tournaments. I love getting a bit different with the stacks tonight. There are SO many good options offensively that you can afford to take shots on some stacks that have relatively low pOWN%. I will use some of the chalkier pitching options, though I wil be significantly overweight on Bowden Francis as an SP2 on DK. For stacks, I like being overweight on the Rangers, Twins, and Athletics, and I will add in the Orioles on FD.
ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments – I’ll eat the chalk at pitcher and get different with my primary stacks. I’ll have at least a 4-man primary stack in all of my lineups, and many of my lineups will include bats from just 2 teams. I particularly like the A’s and plan to be extremely over the field on several of their bats.
TJ Zwarych: I’ll most likely be paying up at both pitcher spots on DK, both in single-entry and in MME for large-field tournaments. There’s no one I feel super great about, with the low pitch counts of David Festa so far this season and Taj Bradley in a tough matchup. I’ll take shots on those two, but I’ll primarily be playing Logan Webb, Freddy Peralta, and Eduardo Rodriguez.
Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
