What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

stevietpfl: I will be focusing on small-field contests. With a smaller slate and a lack of pitching options, I’m just going to be overweight on 2–3 pitchers. I’ll build stacks off of those pitchers, but I just don’t see a lot of great pivots on the bump. As far as bats, I’m going to take a stand and be underweight on the Royals. They could score 8+ runs with 1–2 home runs.

stlcardinals84: I will be playing a smaller number of lineups with this smaller slate, with around 6–8 squads in large-field GPP contests. I am going to stick to 3 stacks, with the Athletics as my favorite target and the Giants and Diamondbacks as my preferred secondary stacks. I will also take a stand on fading Spencer Strider at elevated ownership. He just doesn’t deserve to be THAT popular against a Brewers team that just keeps winning games, and this clearly isn’t the Strider of old.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field GPPs, and I plan to keep a really tight pitching pool so I can differentiate my stacks as much as possible. I’ll be playing a lot of George Kirby and Spencer Strider; however, instead of playing the chalky Jeffrey Springs when I need a cheap SP2, I’m going to pivot to Jose Quintana and Jonathan Cannon.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
