What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
stlcardinals84: I am going with a single-entry approach, as I have a lot of personal items on the calendar this evening. That would make it a challenge for me to monitor updates for a multi-entry build on a night where we have a ton of weather concerns. One easy way to give yourself an edge tonight if you are multi-entering is to monitor the forecast. A PPD in any game will give you a leg up on the competition. For my single-entry build, I am planning to avoid the worst of the weather games (which would be the two in Chicago). I am using Kris Bubic as my GPP ace as a pivot away from Chris Sale, and I like stacks of the Yankees and Padres.
ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments – It’s a huge slate, and projected ownership is flattened as a result. I’ll worry less about ownership than usual and just play the stacks I think are likeliest to score 10+ runs with a handful of homers. The Yankees, Astros, and Dodgers stand out. With the top bats on the Yankees and Dodgers, in particular, being very expensive, I’ll play around with stack sizes and get to the largest possible primary stacks less often than usual (e.g., I will have more 4-man and maybe even some 3-man primary stacks on DraftKings).
TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field GPPs, and I’ll be keeping a really tight pitching pool. Chris Sale and Kris Bubic are my top options, and then I’ll have small amounts of Framber Valdez as well. I don’t really trust any cheap pitchers tonight, but I’ll probably have a few darts thrown at Ryan Yarbrough and Logan Allen on DraftKings, just because they’re cheap enough to allow me to stack up the Dodgers.
What is your hot take of the day?
stlcardinals84: Kevin Roth has to rinse out his t-shirt from sweating out the weather forecast this afternoon, and Kris Bubic strikes out 13 Rangers on his way to being the highest-scoring arm.
