MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for Monday, May 27

Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

Alex Sonty: Jose Ramirez
headChopper: Vladimir Guerrero
ebeimfohr: Shohei Ohtani
eys819: Vladimir Guerrero

How do you plan to beat the field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Alex Sonty: I’m attacking Joe Ryan and his high fly-ball rate with some Royals power. The ownership on the Braves and Guardians should push the ownership down on the Reds into the single digits (in Cincinnati), and there’s nothing scary about Lance Lynn, so my single-entry lineup will be a contrarian CIN/KC build.

headChopper: I’m going to fade Joe Ryan and go over the field on a couple of mid-range pitchers, and that should help me spend up on bats to get different from the field. I’m probably not stacking as much as the field. Rather, I’m looking for 1-2 bats from key teams I like and loading up on them.

ebeimfohr: This feels like a totally loaded offensive slate with a pretty severe lack of pitching. So I am looking to find my leverage with my bats. I will be getting overweight on the offenses with monster upside that appear to be on the lower-owned side, like the Reds and both teams in the CHC/MIL game. I will also be attacking offenses in the riskier weather spots that should lead to them garnering lower ownership. That way, I can focus in on a tighter core of pitching (where the options are thinner).

eys819: There is a plethora of good offenses in outstanding spots. The Guardians, Blue Jays, Reds, Braves, Dodgers, and Rockies all have team totals near 5 runs. That should keep any single team from being too popular. I prefer the Reds, Jays, and Guardians to the others, but I plan on casting a wide net with my primary stacks. Justin Steele is the standout pitcher for me, as I think he is way too cheap for his talent level. Chris Bassitt is also too cheap for his elite matchup against the White Sox.

Who is your top overall pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
