MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Saturday, September 9

How do you plan to beat the field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

STLCardinals84: I am going to fade Nathan Eovaldi. There’s obviously some risk here in a matchup against the A’s, but Eovaldi is making just his second start since returning from a lengthy stay on the injured list. He got absolutely hammered in his return, and the outing was so short that he couldn’t even build up his pitch count. He’s back on short rest to try to do that tonight, and I think the Rangers will still keep him in the 75-pitch range. I much prefer Logan Webb at the top, and I’ll take a firm stance on that.

Krayton: I agree with STLCards that I am going to fade Nathan Eovaldi since this is just his second start, and he is working his way back after a long stint of being injured. I am going to be locking in Logan Webb in a matchup against the Rockies that is too great to pass up. There aren’t many pitching options I love, so I am going to lock Webb in and get different with my bats.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll have Logan Webb in 100% of lineups on both sites, while mixing-and-matching SP2s on DraftKings. Lucas Giolito will be my primary choice, but I’ll also be getting to Cristian Javier and cheapies like Dylan Dodd and Tyler Anderson to be able to afford Braves and Rangers stacks.

TastefulTides: Locking in Logan Webb across the board. His elite ability to keep the ball on the ground against this weak Rockies lineup is a great floor / ceiling combination. Texas will be my go-to stack, with the Giants being my favorite secondary stack. Don’t forget about the bottom of the Rangers order. They have sneaky upside and won’t garner the attention of the top half.

That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
