Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful popcorn-filled weekend; it was quite glorious here. We jump back into the work week with an 8-game slate that is quite thin on the pitching side. I’ll do my best to sort through and find some other MLB DFS picks, but they are much easier to come by on the hitting side.
Monday Pitching: MLB DFS Picks on FanDuel & DraftKings

I have just four pitchers in my primary pool tonight, and I would expect the ownership to follow this same design, with all the cheap stuff being nonsensical with low upside and plenty of downside. I’ll mention more names here, just because that’s what I do, but even with the top four being non-elite, this is close to a ‘Don’t Overthink It’ kind of slate.
TOP TIER ARMS
Luis Castillo at Twins – 27.7% K, 6.3% BB, 3.04 ERA, 3.58 SIERA
Yu Darvish vs. Pirates – 25.9% K, 8.1% BB, 4.36 ERA, 3.92 SIERA
Kenta Maeda vs. Mariners – 28.6% K, 6.9% BB, 5.10 ERA, 3.62 SIERA
Logan Allen vs. Royals – 24.3% K, 8.6% BB, 3.21 ERA, 4.16 SIERA
Jon Gray at Astros – 19.8% K, 8.1% BB, 3.31 ERA, 4.66 SIERA
Jose Berrios at Dodgers – 23.4% K, 7% BB, 3.39 ERA, 4.05 SIERA

With a strong matchup against the Twins, Luis Castillo is the highest priced pitcher on both sites tonight. He had been scuffling a fair amount prior to his last matchup against this same Twins team last week, when he posted a season-high 11 strikeouts. I am not going to expect that again here, but he does have plenty of upside, plenty of leash, and strong control to go with the strikeout potential. It’s close up top, but officially, if salary is no issue, I’m calling Castillo my SP1.
