Happy Wednesday! We’ve got a split slate day with a couple of different early start times. DK is running a 4-game slate starting at 2:05pm ET, while FD is starting at 1:40pm ET with 5 games.
I’ll focus more on the 8-game main slate that begins at the usual 7:05pm ET, but here’s a quick peek at some MLB DFS picks for these early games.
Wednesday Early Pitching: MLB DFS Picks on FanDuel & DraftKings
Framber Valdez vs. Giants
Logan Webb at Astros
Aaron Nola at Dodgers
Andrew Heaney vs. Diamondbacks
Seth Lugo vs. Reds
Gavin Stone vs. Phillies
Joey Lucchesi at Tigers (FD)
This is a deep pool of pitching options for a small slate.
The clear best option is also the most expensive, with Framber Valdez against the Giants. Game after game, year after year, Valdez just keeps piling up ground balls and quality starts. The strikeouts come and go, generally sitting somewhere around average, but there is just no other pitcher in the league as dependable as this guy. There are other pitchers on this slate with similar upside at lower prices, but I’ll take this consistency anywhere I can get it.
Officially, this is a spot where I’ll say I would gladly play 100% Valdez on both sites if the salary allows, but at the same time, I am not going to force him in anywhere at this price. Let’s see what our pivots look like.
