Pitcher Grind Down
Yu Darvish – Darvish has had back to back poor starts, but still has only a 2.59 ERA. He is still one of, if not the best, strikeout pitcher in the league and always has the potential of being the top scoring pitcher on the board. He faces a tough test in Los Angeles, but the majority of their top guys are RH batters. He is a top pitcher, but I may be using Gio and Jose more than Yu today. Rating = 8
Tyler Skaggs – Skaggs has had a decent start to the season carrying a 3.34 ERA after 5 starts. He reached the 100 pitch count in his last start, but has only a 5.66 K/9. There are other cheap options that I would take before Skaggs. Rating = 4
Batter Grind Down
Texas
Alex Rios – Rios has had a great start to the year and is hitting LH pitching for .429 and a .743 SLG. Plug him in against the young lefty for cash games today.
- Additional Plays: Adrian Beltre Elvis Andrus
Anahiem
Mike Trout – It will be tough to pay up for him today against Yu, but he has hit 9 for 28 with 4 home runs against Darvish. He is a great GPP play as he should be low owned today.

Pitcher Grind Down
Dillon Gee and Jhoulys Chacin – Coors with a O/U at 10, don’t use them.
Batter Grind Down
New York Mets
Curtis Granderson – Like always, Coors cures everyone’s hitting woes. He is extremely cheap due to struggling all season, but has 5 hits in his 3 games at Coors with a home run.
- Additional Plays: David Wright Daniel Murphy
Colorado
Carlos Gonzalez – Gee has been good, but Coors is always a different story. CARGO is starting to heat up and his price is still not where it should be in most places.
- Additional Plays: Charlie Blackmon Troy Tulowitzki Nolan Arenado

Pitcher Grind Down
Wade Miley – Miley has been a bit up and down so far this year, but has been much better away from home. He has a 2.84 ERA compared to his 7.84 Home ERA and will be taking on a soft hitting Padres team that has put up 5 runs in their last 4 games. He could be a sneaky GPP play today. Rating = 6
Tyson Ross – Due to the parks they play in, Ross is the exact opposite of Miley. He has an excellent 1.80 ERA at home with 23 strikeouts in just 20 innings. Ross is the favorite today in what should be a low scoring affair. Rating = 6
Batter Grind Down
Arizona
Miguel Montero – Montero has been hitting well lately and has hit RH pitching for .311 so far with all 4 of his home runs. If he is cheap at the site you are on he does not make a terrible play.
San Diego
Bronson Arroyo just went for 7 innings and 0 earned runs. I am really not sure I could trust their bats against any pitcher right now.

Pitcher Grind Down
Kyle Lohse – Lohse has been very good for the Brewers with a 2.70 ERA and 1.05 WHIP in 6 starts. The lefty filled lineup of the Reds may give him a bit of trouble, but Vegas has this as a low scoring close game today. Rating = 5
Alfredo Simon – Simon has been a nice surprise for the Reds in the early going. He has yet to give up more than 2 earned runs in a start and has a .98 WHIP on the season. I still do not fully trust him enough to start him in cash games, but he looks to me like a great GPP play depending on price. Rating = 6
Batter Grind Down
Milwaukee
Carlos Gomez – Simon has allowed LH batters a .304 wOBA on the season and Gomez has hit RH pitching far better than LH this season.
Cincinnati
Joey Votto- Votto’s numbers are a bit down at this point, but he will start the creep up to his career averages soon enough. He has always mashed RH pitching and makes a safe cash game play as his price has dropped.
- Additional Plays: Jay Bruce
St. Louis at Chicago Cubs

Pitcher Grind Down
Lance Lynn – Lynn has had a decent start to the season and comes in facing the Cubs who have won 3 straight. Lynn has a 3.60 ERA and a great 10.29 K.9 which makes him a good start against the Cubs tonight. Rating = 6
Jason Hammel -Hammel has looked very good and is coming off a 7 inning, 7 strike out performance against the Brewers. He is allowing opponents to bat only .144 against him and has an ERA of 2.08 to show for it. He may be hard to trust, but the numbers may not be able to be ignored much longer without his price reflecting it.. Rating = 6
Batter Grind Down
St. Louis
Matt Carpenter – Last year, Hammel allowed lefties to bat .300 against him and Carpenter is always on on base machine against the Cubs.
- Additional Plays: Matt Adams
Chicago Cubs
Anthony Rizzo – The Cubs offense is carried by Rizzo and his .296 AVG, 6 home runs and .421 OBP.
