Pitcher Grind Down
Stephen Strasburg – Strasburg has not had great success on the road. Over the last 2 seasons, his ERA on the road is more than double his ERA at home. He is the favorite in this game, but Wainwright is a much safer cash game option. Limit Strasburg as a GPP option only tonight. Rating = 7
Bronson Arroyo – After a tough start to the season, Arroyo has thrown 2 straight shutouts against the Padres and the Brewers. Tonight he faces a Nationals offense that is ranked 20th against RH pitching this season. Arroyo is a bit too risky for me to use tonight. Rating = 4
Batter Grind Down
Washington
Ian Desmond – Desmond has great power in his bat and his slow start to the season has his price at a very affordable level on almost every daily fantasy site. He homered last night and makes a solid play again tonight.
Additional Plays: Jayson Werth
Arizona
Even though Strasburg is not my top pitcher on the board, he is still Stephen Strasburg. Paul Goldschmidt is a decent GPP play, but you can safely avoid the rest of the D-Back batters.

Pitcher Grind Down
Scott Carroll – Carroll has only made 3 career starts in the majors and he was blasted in his last outing against the Cubs. I’m not a huge fan of targeting pitchers against the A’s and Carroll is a less than appealing fantasy option tonight. Rating = 3
Drew Pomeranz – Pomeranz has pitched out of the bullpen and has also made 1 start for the A’s this season. He is a large favorite in tonight’s game, but I’m not sure how deep he will be able to pitch into this game. Pomeranz is a GPP option at best tonight. Rating = 5
Batter Grind Down
Chicago White Sox
Jose Abreu – Since the start of last season, Pomeranz has given up a .407 wOBA to RH batters. Abreu already has 14 HR’s on the season and makes a great tournament play tonight.
Additional Plays: Alexei Ramirez
Oakland
Brandon Moss – The sample size is small, but in his 3 starts, Carroll has given up a .424 wOBA to LH batters. Moss is batting .262 with 10 XBH’s against RH pitching this season. He is a terrific value at 1B.
Additional Plays: Josh Donaldson, John Jaso, Yoenis Cespedes

Pitcher Grind Down
Jacob Turner – Turner is coming off of his best start of the season, but it was against the Padres in Petco so we can’t give him too much credit. He has an ERA of 6.75 on the season with a 1.68 WHIP. He should be avoided tonight against the Dodgers who are ranked 4th against RH pitching with a team .333 wOBA. Rating = 2
Josh Beckett – Beckett is having a terrific season for the Dodgers. He has an ERA under 3.00 while striking out close to a batter per inning. He faces a Marlins offense that has been awful on the road this season. They have been striking out left and right when on the road. Beckett makes a terrific play tonight in all leagues. Rating = 8
Batter Grind Down
Miami
Garrett Jones – Jones makes a decent GPP play tonight. Beckett has given up a .365 wOBA to LH batters since the start of last season and Jones is an extra base machine with 12 of his 28 hits against RH pitching going for extra bases.
Additional Plays: None
L.A. Dodgers
Hanley Ramirez – Hanley has a terrific matchup against Turner who has given up a .363 wOBA to RH batters over the last 2 seasons. Han-Ram is my top SS play on the board tonight.
Additional Plays: Yasiel Puig, Adrian Gonzalez, Dee Gordon

Pitcher Grind Down
David Price – Price throws more strikes than any pitcher in baseball, but lately that has gotten him into some trouble. He has given up 20 earned runs in his last 5 starts. He does have a nice matchup against the Mariners though. Price has held LH batters to a .256 wOBA and this Mariners’ offense is littered with LH batters. Rating = 7
Hisashi Iwakuma – There was some concern about Iwakuma being on a pitch count in his last start, but he threw 93 pitches and will likely throw close to 100 tonight as long as he is pitching well. Iwakuma is a high strikeout pitcher that makes a great play on multi-pitcher sites. Rating = 7
Batter Grind Down
Tampa Bay / Seattle
This game features the lowest total of the night. There aren’t any plays that stand out here. Target batters in some of the other games with higher run totals.

Pitcher Grind Down
Mike Minor – Minor has only made 2 starts this season and he has not been sharp in either of them. Minor has a 6.97 ERA with a 1.98 WHIP. One of those starts was against this Giants team. Minor could make for a deep GPP play, but I think it’s safe to avoid him in all cash games. Rating = 5
Ryan Vogelsong – Vogelsong has looked a lot like the 2012 Vogelsong in his last few starts. In his last 3 starts, he has only given up a combined 2 earned runs while striking out 14 batters. This Braves’ offense strikes out often and Vogelsong could make a nice contrarian play at pitcher tonight. Raitng = 6
Batter Grind Down
Atlanta
Freddie Freeman – Freeman homered in last night’s game against the Giants and has a favorable matchup tonight against Vogelsong who has given up a .339 wOBA to LH batters since the start of last season.
Additional Plays: Jason Heyward
San Francisco
Buster Posey – Posey is batting .293 with an OPS of .859 against LH pitching this season. With Mike Minor struggling, Posey makes a terrific play at Catcher. I think it’s the night to spend up on Catcher with either Molina or Posey.
Additional Plays: Pablo Sandoval
