Happy Monday! The new week of MLB action begins with an exciting 8-game slate, featuring a number of notable pitchers on the bump, including Zack Wheeler, Carlos Rodon, Chase Burns, Garrett Crochet, George Kirby, and Logan Webb.

As always, be sure to monitor our MLB starting lineups page throughout the day, as unexpected changes in the batting order can result in value opportunities in the betting and DFS markets.

Another reminder – it’s not a bad beat, or unlucky, if you bet a player to hit a home run and his fly ball dies on the warning track because it’s 40 degrees with the wind blowing in! Before locking in any bets, use our MLB weather page, curated by Chief Meteorologist, Kevin Roth. There are countless edges to be found if we make the right reads on possible rain delays and great hitting weather, just to name a few. Taking a look at the weather report can save us from a bad bet that otherwise looks good on the surface.

Below, you can find my 3 picks for Monday, June 30th!

Best MLB Player Props for Monday, June 30th

Here are my top player prop bets for today, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:35 PM ET on Monday, June 30th:

Max Scherzer OVER 15.5 Outs Recorded (+130, DraftKings)

Scherzer certainly didn’t look great in his return to the mound this past Wednesday, but it was nonetheless encouraging to see him stretched out to 83 pitches. Assuming he is able to make it through this evening’s outing healthy, Scherzer should see north of 90 pitches, which should give him plenty of opportunities to work into the 6th inning. New York’s offense has been mediocre against right-handed pitching in June, ranking only 11th in wRC+. If Scherzer is reasonably effective, he’s likely to be given an opportunity to get more than 15 outs given his established track record of efficiency.

Aaron Judge OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-145, DraftKings)

Yesterday, Judge hit 2 home runs. Prior to yesterday, Judge had been in a slump, hitting only .160 across his previous 7 games. That being said, he still had a staggering 23.5% barrel rate and 47.1% hard-hit rate in that span, so he’s still been mashing plenty of baseballs. Tonight, he gets to face Max Scherzer, who will be making only his 3rd big league start of 2025. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Judge have another strong night at the plate.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-130, DraftKings)

This season, Guerrero has been one of the best hitters in baseball against left-handed pitching, hitting .343 with a 174 wRC+. Tonight, he gets to face Carlos Rodon, who has struggled somewhat in recent weeks. Since the beginning of June, Rodon has posted a 4.47 FIP, allowing a 10.4% barrel rate and 42.9% hard-hit rate in that span, both of which are worse than the league average. This is great value for one of the best hitters in baseball to have a productive night at the dish.
