Happy Friday! Today’s MLB slate began earlier this afternoon with a matchup between the Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Cubs. Still, there are 14 games part of tonight’s slate, with all of those contests beginning at 6:40 p.m. EST or later.
We went 3-0 yesterday to improve to 29-8-2 across our last 13 posts. During the month of May, we are 52-23-4 on non-Home Run props. We are now 57-25-1 on pitcher prop recommendations for the season. There is plenty of opportunity once again on the player prop market today – below are three prop leans for May 26!

Entering play on Friday, Jesus Luzardo has eclipsed this market number in six of his 10 starts in 2023. However, he has not recorded fewer than five strikeouts in any of his trips to the mound this year, meaning that he is consistently competitive at this market number. During the month of May, the Los Angeles Angels rank 20th in strikeout percentage against left-handed pitching, despite the fact that they have faced an abundance of inferior southpaws, including Martin Perez and Steven Matz. On May 9th, Framber Valdez, the lone uber-talented southpaw that has faced the Angels this month, collected 12 strikeouts. Take the over here.
Byron Buxton u0.5 total bases (+125), DraftKings
Tonight, Byron Buxton has one of the toughest matchups on the slate, having to contend with Kevin Gausman. On the year, Gausman owns a 2.03 FIP, 0.97 WHIP, and a .236 opponent batting average against right-handed batters. Though Buxton has been better against right-handed pitching than left-handed pitching to begin 2023, Buxton’s 27.8% strikeout rate and 13.2% walk rate both present red flags here for bettors. Walks are positive outcomes for Buxton’s team, but they do not count toward a player’s total bases. Strikeouts are obviously a net negative outcome for Buxton and his time all around. At plus money, this is a worthwhile risk on Friday evening.

Masataka Yoshida less than 0.5 hitter strikeouts, PrizePicks
We are going to keep trusting high-contact hitters to make contact in this article! Yesterday, Masataka Yoshida and the Boston Red Sox had a day off, so we targeted Adam Frazier, who made contact each time he stepped in the box on Thursday. This evening, we get to go back to our pride and joy – Yoshida. Yoshida owns an impressive 9.2% strikeout rate in 2023, and tonight gets a matchup against Brandon Pfaadt, who has posted a pedestrian 16.3% strikeout rate against left-handed batters this year. You all know the drill by now – expect Yoshida to have little trouble putting the ball in play tonight.
