Major League Baseball has 15 games on tap for Wednesday, beginning with a heavy dose of afternoon action, with first pitch scheduled for 12:05 p.m. ET in Washington. There are a number of big names scheduled to be on the mound today for their respective teams, including Dylan Cease, Sandy Alcantara, Spencer Strider, Tyler Glasnow, Max Fried, and more – which should lead to an entertaining day of baseball!

As always, be sure to monitor our MLB starting lineups page throughout the day, as unexpected changes in the batting order can result in value opportunities in the betting and DFS markets.

Another reminder – it’s not a bad beat, or unlucky, if you bet a player to hit a home run and his fly ball dies on the warning track because it’s 40 degrees with the wind blowing in! Before locking in any bets, use our MLB weather page, curated by Chief Meteorologist, Kevin Roth. There are countless edges to be found if we make the right reads on possible rain delays and great hitting weather, just to name a few. Taking a look at the weather report can save us from a bad bet that otherwise looks good on the surface.

Below, you can find my 3 picks for Wednesday, July 23rd!

Jose Ramirez OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-155, DraftKings)

Ramirez has been at his best against southpaws this season, but he’s more than capable of doing damage against RHP as well. In 2025, Ramirez owns a .275 batting average and a 138 wRC+ against righties. He’s looked good since the All-Star Break too, hitting .294 with a 272 wRC+ in that span. Ramirez has 3 home runs, 6 RBIs, and has scored 7 runs across his last 5 games. He should have opportunities this evening to continue his recent stretch of excellent production.

Kyle Manzardo OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-120, DraftKings)

Could Manzardo finally be starting to heat up? In his last 5 games, Manzardo is hitting .313 with a 237 wRC+. He’s hit 3 home runs, tallied 7 RBIs, and scored 3 runs during that stretch. This evening, he gets a good matchup against Zach Eflin, who has allowed 4+ earned runs in each of his last 3 starts. Manzardo is well-positioned to stay hot on Wednesday.

Carlos Santana OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+105, DraftKings)

Santana hasn’t been particularly productive in 2025, but he gets a very favorable matchup against Zach Eflin, who has struggled to a 7.71 FIP and 1.64 WHIP against lefties in 2025. Notably, Eflin has only struck out 12.5% of batters he’s faced across the platoon this season, which means Santana is likely to have at least a couple of balls in play on Wednesday. Hitting behind Jose Ramirez and Kyle Manzardo, he should have a good chance for an RBI knock to cash this wager in this spot.
