NBA Player Props Today – Wednesday, April 17, 2024

Tobias Harris Over/Under 2.5 Assists
DeMar DeRozan Over/Under 5.5 Assists
Coby White Over/Under 4.5 Assists

Tobias Harris Over/Under 2.5 Assists

During the regular season Tobias Harris averaged 3.1 assists per game, including 3.3 assists per game at home. In those 36 home contests, Harris had 3+ assists 24 times, including 12 of his last 15 home games overall.

Following the All-Star Break, Miami allowed the 10th-fewest assists per game, but they were much more vulnerable against opposing forwards than guards. Across the final two weeks of the regular season, the Heat allowed 3 assists to Corey Kispert, 6 assists to Deni Avdija, 7 assists to Josh Hart, 3 assists to Dillon Brooks, and 3 assists to De’Andre Hunter. Harris should have enough opportunities to get the job done for us here if his teammates can knock down a few shots.

DeMar DeRozan Over/Under 5.5 Assists

From January 19 to the end of the regular season, all games without Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan averaged 5.7 assists and a team-leading 10.6 potential assists in 18 home contests. In 27 home games overall this year with LaVine inactive, DeRozan had 5+ assists 22 times and 6+ assists 13 times. The Hawks did a good job disrupting passing lanes following the All-Star Break, but they still allowed 9 assists to Jimmy Butler, 6 assists to Khris Middleton, and 6 assists to Jayson Tatum across the final two weeks of the regular season.

DeRozan should see a heavy workload this evening with Chicago’s season on the line. In 13 home games without LaVine active this year, DeRozan was 8-for-13 to the over at this market number and had fewer than 5 assists only once in those situations. He had zero games with fewer than 5 assists when playing 40+ minutes. We will live with the results here.

Coby White Over/Under 4.5 Assists

In 54 games this season without Zach LaVine active, Coby White was 34-for-54 to the over at this market number. His production as a facilitator fell off slightly down the stretch, but he still cleared this number in 8 of his final 15 home contests without LaVine.

Tonight, White gets an extremely favorable matchup against an Atlanta team that allowed the 2nd-most assists per game to opposing guards following the All-Star Break. If White sees close to 40 minutes tonight, he should have every opportunity to deliver for us in this spot.
