NBA Player Props for Wednesday, 2/4: Best Bets & Predictions Today

What kind of performances can we expect from Peyton Watson and Isaiah Joe? Follow along as our NBA betting analyst, Nick Galaida, breaks down two of his favorite NBA prop bets for Wednesday, February 4th. Wednesday’s 7-game NBA slate will be headlined by an ESPN doubleheader, beginning with the Nuggets against the Knicks at 7:00 PM ET and followed by the Thunder against the Spurs.
Today’s NBA injury report is extremely lengthy, especially for the Thunder – they will be without each of their top-5 leading scorers. James Harden and Darius Garland will both be out of commission too, having just been traded yesterday.
As always, be sure to use tools like CourtIQ and our NBA starting lineups page to evaluate how injuries impact usage and to search for inefficiencies in the player prop and DFS markets.

Best NBA Player Props for Wednesday, February 4th
Here are my top player prop bets for today, with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 PM ET on Wednesday, February 4th:
- Peyton Watson Over/Under 15.5 Points
- Isaiah Joe Over/Under 17.5 Points
Peyton Watson OVER 15.5 Points (-110, BetMGM)
Watson hasn’t played fewer than 34 minutes in a game since January 18th, and he hasn’t taken fewer than 11 shots in a game since before New Year’s. Tonight, the Nuggets will once again be without Cameron Johnson and Aaron Gordon.
According to CourtIQ, since the beginning of January, Watson is averaging 20.9 points per 34 minutes with both Johnson and Gordon off the floor. He’s scored at least 17 points in 7 of his last 9 games with both guys inactive, including 4 such games in a row on the road.
New York ranks only 14th in defensive rating since winning the NBA Cup on December 16th. This is a palatable matchup for Watson, who appears to be growing into a very reliable scoring option for the Nuggets as this season progresses.
Isaiah Joe OVER 17.5 Points (-110, BetMGM)
Tonight, the Thunder will be without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Chet Holmgren, Jalen Williams, Ajay Mitchell, Isaiah Hartenstein, Lu Dort, and Alex Caruso. That list of absences includes each of the team’s top-5 leading scorers.
The top offensive weapon available for the Thunder might be Joe – a 6’4’’ wing player who has been one of the team’s more efficient scorers off the bench this season. Joe has scored 13+ points in 7 of 10 games this season when playing at least 25 minutes, and he is nearly guaranteed to see closer to 35 minutes tonight with the Thunder so short on available bodies.
There have been 11 games this season in which Joe has attempted 10+ field goals – he’s scored 13+ points in all but 1 of those games and has scored 18+ points in 5 of them. There is a realistic chance that Joe leads his team in field goal attempts tonight. This is a highly speculative play, but the over could have significant value, even in a tougher matchup against the Spurs.
