What is your favorite correlation and why?

Notorious: Derrick Henry + Ravens D/ST – While the age model is not a fan of Henry at this stage of his career, this is going to be one of the best spots he’s in all season, and he’s projecting for less than 10% ownership. Before the season started, the Ravens hinted that they wanted to give Henry close to 300 carries this season. He didn’t have a huge Week 1 game against the Chiefs, but he was game-scripted out when they got down early. This week, they are 8.5-point favorites at home against the Raiders, who gave up 161 yards and a touchdown to J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards last week. I like pairing Henry with Baltimore’s defense, who gets to face Gardner Minshew at home.

SquirrelPatrol: Dak Prescott + CeeDee Lamb + Alvin Kamara (+ Luke Schoonmaker?) – The Cowboys passing offense looked pedestrian in Week 1, with Dak throwing for just 179 yards and Lamb pulling in just 5 receptions for 61 yards. But Cleveland allowed the fewest total yards and passing yards in the NFL last season. The Dallas offense should look better at home against a New Orleans defense that might have looked better than it really is against Carolina. We may get a cheap TE on the Dallas side if Jake Ferguson misses this game, and I like running it back with Kamara, who may get more receptions if Dallas is ahead.

Stevietpfl: Baker Mayfield + Chris Godwin + Jameson Williams – Assuming Williams plays without any issues, I’m going to be overweight on this cheaper stack. I will also stack Mayfield with Mike Evans and Amon-Ra St. Brown. This is my favorite game on the slate. The Lions allowed the 2nd-most passing yards in Week 1. I don’t want to overreact to Week 1, but this is a defense that struggled against the pass last season too. Godwin had 83 receiving yards against Washington in Week 1. He had a 26.7% target share and was the first read on 29.2% of the dropbacks. He ran 50% of his routes out of the slot, which is another great sign for his usage in this offense. Both Williams and St. Brown ran a route on 90% of the dropbacks for the Lions in Week 1. Williams had a 32.1% target share and was the first read 43% of the time. I think St. Brown is going to bounce back, but it’s hard not to like Williams at this price point.

Krayton: Patrick Mahomes + Rashee Rice – This CIN/KC game has one of the higher totals, and the Chiefs offense is one I want exposure to. Mahomes always tends to go under-owned, as QB ownership is typically spread out quite a bit. Rice was one of my top season-long and best ball targets, and he will be a core play for me until he is priced up. He led the team in targets (9) in Week 1, to go along with 7 receptions and 103 yards. I will also be looking to play one of Isiah Pacheco, Xavier Worthy, and Travis Kelce in my tournament lineups, and getting to both Pacheco and Rice is a way to get different. Pacheco dominated the KC backfield last week, going for 15/45/1, and the Bengals just gave up 25/120/1 to Rhamondre Stevenson. With Tee Higgins likely out again, I like getting Ja’Marr Chase on the other side of this game.

ebeimfohr: Brock Purdy + George Kittle – Understandably so after the huge game from Jordan Mason in the opener, the field is going to be gravitating to him when Christian McCaffrey inevitably gets ruled out for Week 2. They’re also going to be looking to Deebo Samuel, who I also like, but this creates a smash spot in tournaments for pairing George Kittle with Brock Purdy. TEs were so low scoring in Week 1, but Kittle is one of the unique TEs with a monster ceiling that comes through a few times per season. The Vikings also represent a pass-funnel defense that brings a ton of pressure, which is where Purdy and Kyle Shanahan thrive.

ncorfield8k: Going all in on the LAR/ARI game stack. Will play it over and over, several different ways. Generally love Kyler Murray with Trey McBride but will also try some stacks with Marvin Harrison Jr. or Michael Wilson. James Conner is a great standalone play. And on the other side, along with the chalky Cooper Kupp, Tyler Johnson could be a great tournament play. Demarcus Robinson is an obvious value. Colby Parkinson had a tremendous role last week. And Kyren Williams had the same bell-cow role as last season.

Davis Mattek: Patrick Mahomes + Rashee Rice and/or Xavier Worthy – The Chiefs showed that they were again the most efficient passing offense in the NFL last season, and Mahomes is priced down at a comfortable range on both sites. Given their newfound ability to play like the 2021 Chiefs, my sense is that they are going to be under-owned for several weeks to start the season until the field readjusts. Worthy, in particular, does not project that well, which is a problem that will also solve itself after a few weeks.
