What is your favorite correlation on the slate and why?
Notorious: Josh Allen + Dalton Kincaid – Allen is my favorite play on the slate. He’s not garnering much ownership because he doesn’t project all that well on a per-dollar basis compared to the other quarterbacks. However, he’s topped 22 fantasy points in 4 straight games and has revenge on his mind, as the Chiefs have won the last 2 postseason games against the Bills. Allen has been scrambling a ton recently, and we’ve seen the Bills implement the tush push near the goal line. You can play Allen solo given his rushing upside, but I like pairing him with Kincaid. Kincaid ran a route on 62% of dropbacks last week and seems to be more of a deep threat in recent weeks. The Chiefs are one of the best at limiting wide receiver production, so we could see targets funnel to the tight ends.
squirrelpatrol: Jared Goff + Amon-Ra St. Brown + Josh Reynolds – Goff is just the 6th-most expensive QB out of the 8 starters, despite playing at home as a 6.5-point favorite in the game with the second-highest total. He averaged nearly 20 more passing yards per game at home this season and threw for 19 touchdowns at home in 8 games. St.Brown is the highest-projected WR on the slate, and Reynolds is shaping up as one of the top value WRs.
Krayton: Brock Purdy + Christian McCaffrey – Purdy led the NFL this season with the most yards per attempt (9.6), and he had the 5th-most passing yards (4,280), which was right between Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes. He is heavily discounted from Allen and Lamar Jackson, and I love pairing him with CMC to capture a big chunk of this offense. I also like getting to George Kittle, as we just saw Jake Ferguson catch 10 passes for 93 yards and 3 TDs last week against the Packers. On the other side, I love the Packer offense for tournaments, as they have a variety of receivers that they use, and I will be mixing-and-matching Jayden Reed, Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, as well as Aaron Jones. I will definitely have a lineup or two that over-stacks this game. It was Doubs that had the big game last week, but Watson and Reed have big-play upside. And with Watson now back for his second game after being injured, I like going overweight on him.
ebeimfohr: Lamar Jackson + Pass Catcher – I am shoving my chips in on Ravens stacks this week. Zay Flowers is the go-to option to pair with Lamar, but I’ll be looking to spread out my stacks with Rashod Bateman, Odell Beckham, Justice Hill, and either Mark Andrews or Isaiah Likely, depending upon Andrews’ status. The Texans have been a heavy pass-funnel on defense, and their offense has been electric. This is the dream scenario for Lamar to capture his ceiling in a must-win playoff game, but the awkwardness of his stacking partners outside of Zay is creating a very advantageous GPP situation.
Stevietpfl: Jared Goff + Amon-Ra St. Brown + Josh Reynolds – I think this is the best game of the weekend, and it features two pass-funnel defenses. In 9 home games this season (including the playoffs), Goff has averaged 279.7 passing yards per game with 20 passing touchdowns. Tampa allowed the 3rd-most passing yards per game this season while allowing the 5th-fewest rushing yards per game. It’s the playoffs, so Detroit should attack this pass defense. Kalif Raymond and Sam LaPorta are banged up, and Goff trusts Reynolds. He’s my favorite value option on this slate, and St. Brown is one of the top spend-up options.
eys819: Amon-Ra St. Brown + Mike Evans + Josh Reynolds – I want massive exposure to this game environment and these two passing attacks, in particular. The Lions allowed the 2nd-fewest rushing yards in the league, and the Bucs allowed the 5th fewest. In contrast, the Lions allowed the 4th-most passing yards, and the Bucs allowed the 3rd most. St. Brown led the Lions with a 27.9% target share and a 33.4% air yards share. Evans led the Bucs with a 23.2% target share, a 40.1% air yards share, and 19 end-zone targets. Reynolds surprisingly led the Lions with 8 end-zone targets, and he also benefits if tight end Sam LaPorta isn’t quite yet 100% healthy. Reynolds had a 28.9% target share in the Wild Card round with LaPorta limited.
Bobby Gomes: Brock Purdy + Christian McCaffrey + Jayden Reed – Of the eight teams playing, the 49ers have the highest implied team total (30), and they are 10-point favorites at home against the Packers. Purdy is just the 5th-most expensive QB, and CMC is the highest-projected RB by a mile. Reed had no fantasy points last week (3 targets) but has been a focal point for Jordan Love prior to that. If the game script flows accordingly, Purdy and CMC will have the 49ers in front, and Reed will be involved as the Packers play catch-up.
