NFL DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Week 17
What is your favorite correlation on the slate and why?
Notorious: Tyrod Taylor + Darius Slayton + Kyren Williams – I’ve gone with chalky stacks as my answer the last few weeks, so we might as well have some fun here in Week 17. Taylor is set to draw another start for the Giants. He has rushed for at least 20 yards in 4 of his last 5 games (many of those were brief appearances) and is playing at home against a mediocre Rams defense. I like pairing him with Slayton, who is still the best deep threat on the Giants. This stack allows you to spend up on the other positions. I love Christian McCaffrey, and we can use Kyren Williams in this game for a little correlation. He’s seen at least 22 touches in each of his last 6 games and draws one of the best matchups on the slate.
squirrelpatrol: Patrick Mahomes + Travis Kelce – The Bengals have allowed the 2nd-most fantasy points to tight ends this season and the 5th-most passing yards per game. The Chiefs will likely be without their top two RBs, and while the Mahomes + Kelce connection has disappointed recently, the price on both players has gone down just in time for this excellent matchup.
Krayton: Brock Purdy + Christian McCaffrey – Purdy had a tough outing against the Ravens last week, as he threw 4 interceptions and struggled to get anything positive going. I like this as a bounceback spot for the 49ers, as they get an incredible matchup against Washington, and Purdy will look to rebuild his confidence. CMC will be a core play for me with Purdy. I also like getting another piece of this offense, with my favorite being Deebo Samuel. He struggled last week too, but he did get 12 targets, and Washington has given up the 2nd-most fantasy points to the wide receiver position this season. This is an offense that puts up lots of points, and I like going back to them after a terrible outing.
ebeimfohr: Sam Howell + Washington WR + Christian McCaffrey – The 49ers are going to score at will, particularly through superstar CMC against the woeful Commanders defense, which will lead to another perfect game script for the Washington pass game. Howell has shown a QB1 ceiling this year in games where he’s pushed to throw against elite offenses (Philly), especially with his rushing upside. He’s had time to learn from Brissett and observe from the bench the last few weeks, which should hopefully allow him to reset and get back to the player that made him the QB7 points per game through 13 weeks. He should be able to provide some push-back and pairs well with cheap pass-catching options to add monster upside to this game with savings to afford CMC.
Stevietpfl: Mike Evans + Chris Olave – The Saints have been strong against the pass all season, but with Marshon Lattimore still out, Evans should excel in this matchup. Evans has scored at least 1 touchdown in 6 of his last 7 games. This is a big game for the NFC South, and I want to be overweight on the two best skill players in this game. Olave returned last week with 9 catches for 123 yards. He has at least 8 targets in 4 of his last 5 games, and this is a must-win game for the Saints. Tampa is allowing 284 passing yards per game, which is the most in the NFL. I’ll have some Baker Mayfield and Derek Carr mixed into my stacks, but I will be overweight on the Olave/Evans combo.
eys819: Christian McCaffrey + Terry McLaurin – I will stack the SF/WAS game from every angle, but this combo will be the core of my build. McCaffrey has the best role in the entire league and has entered the MVP conversation with Brock Purdy struggling last week. The Niners should control this game from the start and should have plenty of opportunities to pad some stats against an atrocious Commanders defense. Jacoby Brissett unfortunately popped up on the injury report late in the week, but I am hopeful he plays in this one, as he clearly locked onto McLaurin in his limited playing time. McLaurin has a 23.1% target share the last 2 weeks with Brissett, compared to a 19.1% target share this season with Sam Howell. I have interest in McLaurin regardless of the QB thanks to his price tag and the expected negative game script.
Bobby Gomes: Jalen Hurts + A.J. Brown + Dallas Goedert – The ARI/PHI game has the highest total (48) on the slate, and Philly is -10.5. Hurts is the highest-projected quarterback and Brown only trails Tyreek Hill (Q) in projections. Brown has been quiet over his last 4 games but has still had 10+ targets in each game. Hurts has been leaning on Goedert the last 2 weeks, targeting him 18 times. Hurts and Brown are going to be chalky, but Goedert is coming in around 9% pOWN and gets us different in a game that the Eagles are likely going to roll. Whether I am single stacking Hurts + AJB or double stacking with Goedert, it is a get-right spot for arguably the best offense in the NFL.
