Vancouver has only won four games over the last 15 games with two of them being home games ( Colorado, Ottawa) and the other two being on the road (Colorado, Arizona). Vancouver is basically a one line team which makes them awfully tough to play in cash games. Henrik and Daniel Sedin have done most of the scoring over the last ten games as each has ten or more points over that time period. Linden Vey skates with them on the top power play unit and has grabbed two goals and two assists over the last six games. Jake Virtanen would be a GPP one-off as he skates on the team’s second line with Sven Baertschi and has four points in his last four games. Ben Hutton grabs the point on the power play and has recorded three assists in the last five games. I think no one is expecting the Canucks to win tonight, but they may be able to score a few goals.
The Sharks are a solid 7-2-1 in their last ten games as they find themselves just four points way from the division leaders. The team’s top line will more than likely be one of the higher owned plays of the night. Joe Pavelski and Joe Thornton get the extra time on the power play with Pavelski registering seven points in the last six games while Thornton has scored three goals and assisted on another 11 goals in his last ten games. Thomas Hertl is the third piece of the top line and is in play as he has scored six goals to go with his nine points over the last ten games. Logan Couture and Patrick Marleau are back together on the team’s second line and have registered a combined five points in the last three games with Couture finding the scoresheet in all three of them. Brent Burns is the play on the point as he has 56 points in 63 games with five of them coming in the last two games. Look for the Sharks big in this one.
