Corbin Carroll – More Than 1.5 Total Bases
Arizona has the highest total on the board, and Corbin Carroll is their best player. Pretty easy, right? He projects for 2.2 total bases in the RotoGrinders projections and should have no problem taking it to Cal Quantrill and the weak Rockies bullpen. Caroll had a .266 ISO against right-handed pitching last season, while Quantrill only struck out 18.6% of left-handed batters with a .201 ISO and a 48.6% hard-hit rate. Carroll is the top option on the slate in pretty much all formats, including PrizePicks.

Mookie Betts – More Than 1.5 Total Bases
If the Diamondbacks aren’t the highest-scoring team on the slate tonight, it’s likely to be the Dodgers. Betts immediately benefited from having Shohei Ohtani behind him last night, already blasting his second home run of the season (they already played in Seoul, Korea) out of the park. Tonight, he projects for 2.2 bases in the RotoGrinders projections and faces a lefty in Zach Thompson, who gave up a 57.7% hard-hit rate to righties last season.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr – More Than 1.5 Total Bases
Another player who looked great in his first outing of the season was Vladdy. The Blue Jays are poised to have a better year after a disappointing finish to last season, and their offense exploded for eight runs in their debut against the Rays. Guerrero projects for 2.1 total bases tonight against the Rays, but I think he will be under-projected for the beginning of the season due to his poor stats last year. Vladdy faces Aaron Civale, who only strikes out 20% of right-handed bats. Although Guerrero struggled last year, he still finished with a .201 ISO against right-handed pitching.
