NBA PrizePicks Predictions Today
Chet Holmgren More/Less Than 37.5 Fantasy Points
Victor Wembanyama has stolen the spotlight of late, but Chet Holmgren is also enjoying one of the best rookie seasons we’ve seen in recent years. OKC’s prized young big man is, rather quietly, averaging about 17 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2.6 blocks per game in his first year as a pro. More importantly, Holmgren’s Thunder are pushing for the top seed in the upcoming Western Conference playoffs.
Tonight, OKC will look to bounce back from Monday’s loss in LA with a win in Portland. This shouldn’t be overly difficult if the 13.5-point spread is any indication. The Blazers will again be without starting center Deandre Ayton in this one, which leaves fellow rookie Duop Reath as the last line of defense against Holmgren.
Holmgren should have little trouble in this matchup. The only sweat here will be whether the Blazers can keep the score respectable enough for Chet and the rest of the OKC starters to see a full complement of minutes. Even if he doesn’t, from a fantasy score perspective, I still like his chances of doing enough damage while he’s out there to get there.

Clint Capela More/Less Than 19.5 Points + Rebounds
Things haven’t gone according to plan for the Hawks this season. Atlanta is one of several teams scrapping for a play-in spot at this point, and injuries have played a role of late. Trae Young will be out for the foreseeable future, while Onyeka Okongwu is sidelined, as well.
Clint Capela recently returned from an injury of his own, and the Hawks have been cautious with his minutes. Capela hasn’t logged more than 25 minutes in a game since the end of January, though he’s still productive enough. Just last night, the veteran bagged 13 points and 9 boards in 25 minutes of action in the Hawks’ win over the Knicks.
Tonight’s matchup against the Cavs isn’t much friendlier, though Cleveland won’t have Evan Mobley for this one. There should be plenty of rebounds available for Capela in a matchup against a smaller frontcourt lacking size outside of Jarrett Allen. For the season, Capela is averaging about 11 points and 10 rebounds per game.
- PrizePicks PLAY: More Than 19.5 Points + Rebounds
Darius Garland More/Less Than 2.5 Rebounds
As mentioned, the Cavs won’t have a full deck tonight against Atlanta. In addition to Mobley, Cleveland will also be without Donovan Mitchell and Max Strus for the 2nd consecutive game. That’ll mean a full plate for Darius Garland, who’s topped 40 minutes in 2 of the Cavs’ last 4 games.
Garland isn’t much of a rebounder, which isn’t a huge surprise considering he’s a 6’1” guard. He’s only contributing 2.4 boards per game on the year, which is right in line with his career average (2.6). He grabbed a grand total of 1 carom in 36 minutes yesterday against Boston.
It’s hard to have a ton of confidence in this pick, but I’m banking on the minutes and the pace here. The Hawks are 5th in the league in pace, so there will naturally be more possessions in this game. More possessions mean more shots, and more shots mean, potentially, more rebound opportunities.
