Week 15: NFL Futures Update, Super Bowl Odds

NFL Week 15 is here, and with less than a month left during the regular season, we can still bet on the NFL MVP, season leaders in rushing and passing, whether X team will make/miss the playoffs, and most notably, future conference champions and the Super Bowl winner at online sports betting sites.

Week 15: NFL Futures Odds Update

The Baltimore Ravens have jumped the Patriots as Super Bowl favorites since the last time we looked at NFL futures and Super Bowl odds. The Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers have creeped up the board as well.

Interestingly, the Patriots (+450) remain only one spot behind the Ravens (+235) at Boston-based DraftKings Sportsbook while falling behind the 49ers (+470) and Saints (+600) at FanDuel Sportsbook. It’s probably too late to bet on any of these teams, and I simply don’t see how the Patriots will produce enough offense to represent the AFC in Miami this February. With that said, there are some other interesting futures bets worth considering.

Los Angeles Rams +4000 to win the NFC

Use our FanDuel Sportsbook promo code to bet on the Rams +4000 to win the NFC.

After a slow start, the defending NFC champions have won three of their last four games, including a huge win against the Seattle Seahawks Sunday night. The win put them right in the middle of the NFC wild card race.FiveThirtyEight currently gives Sean McVay’s squad a 36% chance to reach the playoffs and Massey-Peabody sims give them a 43% of making the playoffs.

The Rams go on a two-week road trip to Dallas and San Francisco before ending the season at home against the Cardinals. Their road trip won’t be easy, but they could feasibly find themselves playing in January by winning just two of their final three games. If last season taught us anything it’s that McVay’s offense can get hot and Aaron Donald is a force to be reckoned with. While the 49ers and Saints are clearly the best two teams in the conference, the NFC feels more wide open than past years. I like backing the Rams +4000 to play in the Super Bowl.

Dallas Cowboys +5000 to win the Super Bowl

Use our William Hill promo code to bet on the Dallas Cowboys +50000 to win Super Bowl 54.

We might have jumped the gun on this one a few weeks ago. I didn’t think the Cowboys downward spiral would go on for three games and counting. Remarkably, the Cowboys are still in the driver’s seat to win the NFC East despite the organization’s dysfunction. Dallas is now +5000 to win the Super Bowl at William Hill.

Like the Rams, Dallas doesn’t have to run the table to make the playoffs. They really just need to beat the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 16 and close the deal by beating the Redskins in Dallas.

Dallas Cowboys -118 to win the NFC East

Use our DraftKings Sportsbook promo code to bet on the Dallas Cowboys -118 to win the NFC East.

Speaking of beating the Eagles and closing the deal, why not bet on Dallas to win the NFC East -118 at DraftKings Sportsbook? The Cowboys playa Philadelphia Eagles team that continues to be riddled with injuries — most recently, Alshon Jeffery went down Monday night with a significant non-contact injury. Hypothetically, you could take the points with the Eagles if you want to hedge or mitigate some risk. Moreover, the Massey-Peabody sims give Dallas a 58% chance of making the playoffs. -118 at DraftKings is an implied probability of 54.1%. This is currently my favorite position to take in NFL futures markets.
