For each segment, the Fantastic Four will include my top 4 pitchers for tournaments on FanDuel and DraftKings. They’ll sometimes include plays picking up ownership if I feel like the rostership still doesn’t reflect their upside. Typically, if there is a cash game lock and someone who is pushing 50% rostered, these pitchers won’t get mentioned. However, sometimes on smaller slates, four pitchers won’t be an option.
The Fantastic Four – Best MLB DFS Picks

Luis Garcia looks to be the mega chalk tonight, with Yusei Kikuchi being the heavily rostered SP2 on DK. On FanDuel, Kikuchi will still be rostered, however, I am fine with including him in my heroic group of four tonight. If playing him on DraftKings, I would ensure to not pair him with Garcia and to get different with my stacks.
Mitch White $7400 FD/DK – White is a bit more appealing on Fanduel where his super-powered strikeout ability to right-handed batters is worth more. However, on DK, he is still on the board as a reasonable pivot off of Kikuchi or as a double pay down. We’re currently projecting only two left-handed batters in the lineup for Colorado, and with them leaving Coors field and heading to a pitcher-friendly Dodger ballpark, I’m heavily invested in taking a pitcher against them tonight.
Nick Pivetta $10100 FD / $10300 DK – The weather in Boston is going to be gloomy and cold tonight. If we get the word from weather psychic Kevin Roth that this game is good to go tonight, I’m a big fan of Pivetta. The back half of the Rays lineup is littered with K’s, and Pivetta continues to impress this season. He projects slightly lower than Garcia, leading us to see the field is much more heavily invested in the latter. Pivetta makes for a great, high-upside pivot off of Garcia.
Jameson Taillon $10000 FD / $9400 DK – Taillon was disappointed as chalk his last time out, however, he managed to recover into a somewhat solid outing after a brutal start to the game. He gets another strong matchup tonight against Pittsburgh, in a park far more conducive to pitching production than Yankee Stadium. Especially on DK, where he is discounted, Taillon presents as a phenomenal option and is my favorite tournament pitcher on that site.
Earth’s Mightiest MLB DFS Stacks For Today

New York Yankees – Although the Yankees will be played heavily by the field tonight, they’re also my top projected stack on the board. Judge through Torres is simply too good to pass up against Quintana. Although the ballpark isn’t the best for hitting, we still see a pile of .200+ Isos in Plate IQ. The Yankees are the top offense on the board, however, it’s important to ensure if we are playing them, we are getting different with our pitching and/or secondary stack.
San Francisco Giants – The pinch-hit risk is never fun to deal with, but the Giants are in too good of a spot tonight for me to pass up. Austin Slater will be the first guy cut from my stacks, but Ruf, Flores, Longoria and company set up as some of my favorite hitters on the entire slate. Longoria didn’t quite get there in yesterday’s inaugural Super Soldier Serum Smash, however, he still had a solid game with a run-scored. We know what this team can do to left-handed pitching, and the pinch-hit risk is keeping the field away from one of the top stacks on the board.
Atlanta Braves – Anytime a high strikeout pitcher is facing the Braves, I’m interested in targeting that player. Tonight, we have the opposite story. Pallante is striking out just 10% of right-handed batters early in his career. This entire lineup from top to bottom interests me tonight, and although the Yankees project is the best, this is my favorite stack for tournaments of the night. Orlando Arcia is the only player in the projected lineup with an iso below .200, and although it’s now the 5th, we should see fireworks in Atlanta tonight.
