The 9th week of the NFL season closes with the undefeated Chiefs meeting a beleaguered Buccaneers squad. The Buccaneers travel to Kansas City at less than full strength in desperate need of a victory to keep up with the NFC South and Wild Card picture. The Chiefs continue to win even if the offense struggles with new weaponry. The Buccaneers are big underdogs. Can Tampa Bay upset the Chiefs?

Check out our Same Game Parlay Guide before we break down tonight’s game and build a same game parlay for Monday Night Football.

Bucs vs. Colts Same Game Parlay Preview

DraftKings Sportsbook posts the Kansas City Chiefs at -9 for Monday Night Football. With injuries overwhelming Tampa Bay, the Chiefs are expected to roll right over the Bucs. Yet, ScoresAndOdds reports a nearly 50/50 split on betting action on Monday night’s betting spread.

The implied game total has held serve at 45.5 points with a few movements within a point over the week. Most of the action is on the over, but that money very likely picked up a total that went down after opening. The Chiefs defense is very good and Kansas City plays a very sloppy brand of winning football. Points could be tough to come by on Monday night.

The Chiefs come into Monday night at nearly full strength — relative to their new look. DeAndre Hopkins played 23 snaps last weekend and will see more on Monday night. JuJu Smith-Schuster will not play on Monday night, potentially offering more targets to Hopkins. Kareem Hunt was limited early in the week but logged a full practice at the end of the week and will be active on Monday night. With Hopkins just joining the Chiefs, Kansas City fed Travis Kelce in a big way against Las Vegas. After Kelce, the other Chiefs saw a few targets each.

For the Buccaneers, the news is not so great. Mike Evans and Chris Godwin remain out. Sterling Shepard and Jalen McMillan are questionable. Bucky Irving is knicked up with a toe injury. In the absence of several pass catchers, Cade Otton featured in Week 8. Otton caught 9 passes in a loss to the Falcons for 81 yards and 2 touchdowns. Otton will likely receive a heavy workload again — especially if the Buccaneers are playing from behind. The Chiefs have allowed the 3rd-most receiving yards to the tight end position in two fewer games to the other defenses at the top of the list.

Consequently, the Buccaneers allowed the 7th-most yards to the tight end position over 8 games. Travis Kelce was targeted heavily by Patrick Mahomes against the Raiders. Kelce is not as explosive as he was earlier in his career but surely has his quarterback’s trust. Kelce might not make the big play, but he should be a factor in the middle of the field and the red zone.

Regarding the Chiefs offense, Kansas City ranks outside the top 10 in scoring offense. Mahomes is not putting together a typical season and is ranked behind both Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen in the MVP race. Mahomes has turned the ball over but doesn’t need to put up gaudy numbers for the Chiefs to win football games. The Chiefs are going to continue to stymy opponents with a great defense and shorten the game by running the football. Kansas City allows a measly 5.1 yards per play on defense.

Baker Mayfield will have his work cut out for him on Monday night. The Buccaneers need a win as the Falcons continue to outpace their division rivals. Let’s look over prop options for our Monday Night Football same game parlay.

Same Game Parlay Picks for Bucs vs. Chiefs

Cade Otton Over 53.5 Receiving Yards

Otton’s role in Week 8 cannot be ignored on Monday night. The Buccaneers will not return anyone to their offense and should be playing from behind on the road. Otton’s 10 targets could be duplicated in primetime.

The juice is heavy on Otton’s reception prop — pushing me to yardage. The Chiefs are very strong on the outside — pushing production to the middle of the field. Otton will do most of his work over the middle as a quick valve for Mayfield. The Chiefs could choose to focus on Otton but it is very unlikely that he draws that much attention with shorter routes.

We are going to build a unique parlay. Otton’s over begins the theme.

Noah Gray Over 23.5 Receiving Yards

Sensing a theme? Noah Gray checks in as our second prop as he continues to carve out a small role in the Chiefs offense.

DeAndre Hopkins might take some work away from the rest of the pass catchers. However, Gray has at least 2 targets in 4 straight games. He went over this number in 3 of his last 4 games and only missed by a yard last week. The Buccaneers struggle against tight ends. Gray won’t need that many receptions to hit his over.

Travis Kelce Over 5.5 Receptions

Our first over tight end same game parlay is complete with Kelce going over his receptions prop.

Kelce has back-to-back 10-target games. Even if Hopkins is more involved, Kelce should still see a large enough share to secure six catches. While the Chiefs are still looking to play aggressively, Kelce will be a big factor in the passing game.

The all-tight-end special will be run on DraftKings Sportsbook. Good luck if you join the party!
