DFS Tournament Report: Week of May 1st - May 7th

The DFS Tournament Reports will be a weekly feature here on RotoGrinders, hitting our pages every Monday and recapping all the big GPP action from the previous week. Some RotoGrinders.com members had big wins this week. Here’s a quick day-by-day breakdown of who won what and some of the winning lineups.

Monday, May 1st

The week started out with schoobs5 and jbildhauser having to settle for a tie in the FanDuel $500K SPECTACULAR Shot but neither was probably complaining as it was a small slate and they both took home $75,000 for their efforts. They managed to just edge out a group of seven players that tied for 3rd on the basis of a two player difference in their lineups as they rostered Norman Powell (17.4 fpts) and Clint Capela (40.1 fpts) as opposed to the Eric Gordon (21.6 fpts) and Tristan Thompson (34.8 fpts) combo of the 3rd place lineups.

Over on DraftKings – Changbill surprisingly didn’t have to share the first-place prize money in the $525K Crazy 8’s as he was able to build a unique winning lineup with three players coming in at under 20% ownership in Clint Capela, Deron Williams, and P.J. Tucker. Casello53 won the $325K Fastball and $50K, crump11 took down the $200K Thunderdome (for $75K), and noted DFS author and FantasyLabs co-founder Jonathan Bales tied for 1st with bryito12 in the Super Perfect Game for $37.5k as well as winning a live final seat.
