Primetime Parlay: Giants vs. Commanders Same Game Parlay Picks
ScoresAndOdds’ ParlayIQ tool uses thousands of simulations of RotoGrinders’ statistical projections to help bettors gain on edge when building same-game parlays. We will examine stats, roster news, trends, player props, and betting odds across sports betting sites to find the best price for our same-game parlay ticket. For this article, we build a Sunday Night Football same-game parlay for the Giants vs Commanders.
We would be hard-pressed to find a more impactful game on the NFL standings in Week 15 as the Washington Commanders welcome the New York Giants for Sunday Night Football. Both teams are tied for the sixth and seventh spots in the NFL playoffs and recently tied. Tonight, the winner of this game will be in a far greater position to make the playoffs as the stretch run continues. For us, we finally have a meaningful game to build a same-game parlay on FanDuel Sportsbook.
Same Game Parlay for Giants vs. Commanders
The Commanders are 4.5-point favorites at home on FanDuel Sportsbook. The line opened at -3.5 before shifting a full point. Strangely, SAO posts that 83% of the betting handle is on the Giants’ side of the spread with only 52% of the tickets.
Also, SAO notes that the 40.5 implied game total has not moved despite 99% of the betting money siding with the under. After the last contest between these two teams hit 40 points but couldn’t score in the overtime, I can see why people love the under. The second game in the division outdoors in December has all the makings for an under.
For injuries, the Commanders will have both running backs as Antonio Gibson and Brian Robinson were removed from the injury report. Chase Young is questionable but potentially closer to doubtful as the Commanders seem inclined to only activate Young if he is completely uninhibited. For the Giants, Richie James and Saquon Barkley are clear of the injury report while Daniel Bellinger is questionable.
With the Lions lurking in the standings, both of these teams need a win to help lock up a playoff spot. This should be a barnburner as we sweat out our one-game parlay ticket.
Same Game Parlay Picks – Giants & Commanders Props
Terry McLaurin Over 61.5 Receiving Yards
Terry McLaurin tore the Giants’ secondary apart last game for north of 100 yards and a touchdown. The Giants’ defense has struggled a bit more of late and McLaurin and the Washington offense seem far more competent with Taylor Heinicke holding the reins.
McLaurin is projected for north of 70 yards per our DFS Stat projections. ParlayIQ simulates this over and will hit in about 56% of the simulations. That number is not extremely high but I am letting my own thoughts push this one over the hump. McLaurin should be targeted plenty and is likely the best offensive player in this game. In a must-win situation, I expect the Commanders to get McLaurin open often.
We open here and will immediately correlate.
Taylor Heinicke Over 204.5 Passing Yards
As mentioned, the Giants’ defense is no longer imposing — giving up 5.9 yards per play over the last few weeks. Sitting in the bottom ten in this category, I have plenty of confidence that Taylor Heinicke will be able to exceed this number.
I do think the Commanders will attempt to run the football as much as possible in the game but also think the Commanders have just enough big play options to make noise in the passing game. Taylor went for 275 yards in the overtime affair. I can see a repeat performance at home.
Darius Slayton Under 49.5 Receiving Yards
Darius Slayton is the Giants’ deep threat. This is the type of sweat I do not enjoy. That said, with the emergence of my next prop, I am confident that a stalwart Washington defense can keep Slayton at bay.
Slayton is not the type of receiver that is going to see a plethora of targets. He shouldn’t nickel and dime his way to this over. We need to hope that any deep balls result in dropped balls or pass interference calls. I am willing to take the under as ParlayIQ seems to feel good about Slayton being bottled up as well.
Isaiah Hodgins Over 30.5 Receiving Yards
Isaiah Hodgins continues to become a bigger factor in the New York offense. With six targets in consecutive games, I anticipate Hodgins is going to see similar volume as the Giants’ keep featuring the rookie receiver.
While Richie James should be back, James’ 9 targets against the Commanders did not keep Hodgins from getting his own workload. Further, the Washington defense is very strong against the run. No matter how talented Saquon Barkley is at running the football, the Giants will need to throw the football to get down the field.
With such a low number, a similar workload for Hodgins should result in a pretty good game. We close our ticket with him for tonight’s contest.
