Las Vegas
- OU 8
- Favored TEX -150
Pitchers
- Home MIN Pedro Hernandez is a long reliever/spot starter getting the call against a potent TEX team. He is the huge dog in this one and probably will not even pitch 5 IP. Avoid
- Away Derek Holland was a better pitcher on the road than he was at home a year ago. He has a 3.25 ERA to start the season with 22 Ks. He takes the mound today against a MIN team batting just .228 over the last 7 and is the huge favorite. Target
Batters
- Home Josh Willingham has taken over as MIN hottest hitter. He draws favorable splits today.
- Away Nelson Cruz has been on fire producing 38 fp over the last week. He gets another left-hander today which also favors Adrian Beltre and the almost as hot Ian Kinsler.

PIT BvP | PIT vs R | STL BvP | STL vs R | ||||
| Note: Batter Splits Above Open in Pop Up Window | |||||||
Las Vegas
- OU 7.5
- Favored STL -125
Pitchers
- Home Jake Westbrook has been a ground ball inducing machine to start this season. His 1.25 ERA is well below his career average and most likely will not stay there forever. He only has 8 Ks on the year and runs into a PIT team that has hit him well in the past but is only batting .194 on the road this year,
- Away A.J. Burnett picked up in the NL where he left off a year ago. He looks like a number 1 starter again. He has recorded 7 or more Ks in each of his first 5 outings and has given up only 9 ER during that span. He draws a STL team batting .278 at home, .250 vs. right-handers and .264 over the last 7 days.
Batters
- Home Carlos Beltran, Matt Carpenter, and Allen Craig are STL hottest hitters. They along with Matt Holliday have pretty nice BvPs vs. Burnett. Beltran 10-33 with2 HRs in the nicest line out of the bunch, though.
- Away Gaby Sanchez, Starling Marte, and Pedro Alvarez are the Pirates who are producing. Alvarez led the league in day game HR a year ago and is 11-19 with2 HR versus Westbrook. Andrew McCutchen, Neil Walker and Jose Tabata have positive BvPs also.
Houston at Boston

| Fenway Park | 7:10 PM | ||||||
| Brad Peacock – (1-2), 7.5 ERA, 8 K/9, 1.56 WHIP | Felix Doubront – (2-0), 4.32 ERA, 11.67 K/9, 1.5 WHIP | ||||||
| PvB | (0-3 H/AB) 0 BA-A, 0 K%, 0 OPS-A | PvB | (1-9 H/AB) 0.111 BA-A, 0.56 K%, 0.556 OPS-A | ||||
| ROAD | (1-0), 5.79 ERA, 2 HRA, 9.6 K/9, 1.286 WHIP | HOME | (1-0), 4.05 ERA, 0 HRA, 10.8 K/9, 1.2 WHIP | ||||

HOU BvP | HOU vs L | BOS BvP | BOS vs R | ||||
| Note: Batter Splits Above Open in Pop Up Window | |||||||
Las Vegas
- OU 9.5
- Favored BOS -260
Pitchers
- Home When Felix Doubront is favored at -260, the team he is playing must really be bad. He is the latest pitcher to receive a boost in value from an Astros team striking out at a record pace. He is a K machine and his low price make him very enticing. Beware of overlay. Target
- Away The only thing you have to worry about with Brad Peacock is how many ER do you think he will get in the loss. Avoid
Batters
- Home Nothing like a series in HOU to get your bats going. Mike Napoli is on fire. Jacoby Elisbury, Daniel Nava, and Dustin Pedrioa have been swinging well also. All the left-handed bats are in play tomorrow,
- Away Jose Altuve and Brandon Laird are the only two Astros worth considering but they could get to Doubront today if you want to gamble on value.
Chicago Cubs at Miami
| Chicago Cubs | Miami | ||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Marlins Park | 7:10 PM | ||||||
| Travis Wood – (1-1), 2.08 ERA, 6.23 K/9, 1.04 WHIP | Alex Sanabia – (2-2), 5.09 ERA, 4.3 K/9, 1.74 WHIP | ||||||
| PvB | (3-12 H/AB) 0.25 BA-A, 0.08 K%, 0.583 OPS-A | PvB | (1-5 H/AB) 0.2 BA-A, 0 K%, 0.6 OPS-A | ||||
| ROAD | (1-0), 1.46 ERA, 1 HRA, 6.6 K/9, 0.73 WHIP | HOME | (1-1), 6.55 ERA, 2 HRA, 5.7 K/9, 1.818 WHIP | ||||
| BATTER SPLITS BREAKDOWN | |||||||
CHC BvP | CHC vs R | MIA BvP | MIA vs L | ||||
| Note: Batter Splits Above Open in Pop Up Window | |||||||
Las Vegas
- OU 7.5
- Favored CHC -135
Pitchers
- Home Alex Sanabia is in for a long season. His low K/9 ratio and the fact that he plays for such a poor team make him useless in daily fantasy. The low OU suggest that he should pitch well but the upside is not there. Avoid
- Away Travis Wood is a matchup play and MIA is about the only team out there in which you can consider playing him. He is slated to get the win today and gets enough Ks to be a factor. I am not too excited about him on the road, though.
Batters
- Home Giancario Stanton is heating up and gets the splits in his favor today.
- Away You have to trust the hot hand of Anthony Rizzo. There is not much going on with the Cubs and the low OU suggest this is not a good day to look for value.
Cleveland at Kansas City
| Cleveland | Kansas City | ||||||

| Kauffman Stadium | 7:10 PM | ||||||
| Scott Kazmir – (0-0), 16.2 ERA, 11.61 K/9, 3.3 WHIP | Ervin Santana – (2-1), 2.48 ERA, 8.07 K/9, 1.07 WHIP | ||||||

| BATTER SPLITS BREAKDOWN | |||||||
CLE BvP | CLE vs R | KCR BvP | KCR vs L | ||||
| Note: Batter Splits Above Open in Pop Up Window | |||||||
Las Vegas
- OU 8.5
- Favored KAN -165
Pitchers
- Home Ervina Santana as been lights out recently and he faces a CLE team that cannot hit him with a .201 BAA vs. him. CLE is batting .270 ON the road, .233 vs right-handers and .274 over the last 7 days. It is hard to ignore those BvPs, though. Target
- Away Scott Kazmir has looked awful. He has a 16.20 ERA. You cannot consider him until he has at least one good outing. Avoid
Batters
- Home Lorenzo Cain and Alex Gordon remain hot producing combined 52.5 fp. Billy Butler and Jeff Francoeur draw the lefty today. The way Kazmir has been pitching I think everyone is in play today.
- Away Mark Reynolds remains hot with 23.5 fp over the last 7. Drew Stubbs is producing well also and Jason Giambi draws the righty today and has produced 15.75 fp in limited appearances
