Pitchers
- Home Fausto Roberto Hernandez Carmona takes the mound for the Rays tonight and he actually hasn’t been terrible this season. While he is favored and is dirt cheap across the board, I don’t love the matchup against the Blue Jays hitters. Avoid and wait for a classic Fausto blow up.
- Away J.A. Happ is a pitcher that gets a decent amount of K’s, but usually ends up leaving too many pitches over the plate and it ends up costing him. I think the Rays jump on him early and he doesn’t end up making it past 5 innings. Avoid
Batters
- Home There’s a lot to like about the Rays offense tonight. While they do have a lot of left handed bats in the lineup, I still like their matchup against Happ. The right hand bats of Desmond Jennings, Evan Longoria, and Ryan Roberts are all in play. Roberts is one of my favorite sleeper picks tonight.
- Away Every batter on the Jays that has faced Hernandez has at least a .300 or better average against him so this could be a big night for the Jays offense. Jose Bautista and Edwin Encarnacion are the obvious choices, but I like Melky Cabrera as a sleeper, he has been hitting lately which is a good sign.

Pitchers
- Home Ryan Dempster almost made an appearance in last night’s extra innings game over the Twins and it’s probably best that he didn’t. He gets the start tonight against a Twins team that always seems to score runs against the top aces. Last night they put 4 runs up on Buchholz and make me a bit nervous to take Dempster tonight. He is a huge favorite though and gets plenty of K’s so he is in play.
- Away Scott Diamond is average. And an average pitcher against the Red Sox is not something I like to waste money on. Avoid
Batters
- Home Red Sox stacks, get em ready. Dustin Pedroia, Mike Napoli, Shane Victorino, Will Middlebrooks, and Daniel Nava all hit lefties well. Don’t be afraid to take a few of these bats today.
- Away Joe Mauer is really the only Twins bat that I would trust tonight against Dempster. He is pretty much matchup-proof and even though he is 0/7 against him in his career, I think he gets on base a couple of times tonight.

Pitchers
- Home Homer Bailey has been very good at home this season. In 3 starts, he has lasted 20 innings and racked up a total of 24 K’s. Tonight he gets to face the Braves who are atop the league in strikeouts. I think that it’s a solid matchup, especially considering his price. Target
- Away Kris Medlen has just not been the same pitcher that he was last season. I keep holding out hope that he is just off to a slow start, but until he gets that WHIP down, I am just going to avoid him for now.
Batters
- Home Medlen has let 30 batters on base over his last 3 starts and allowed 11 earned runs over that stretch. The Reds bats are in a decent spot today even though Medlen was once considered a guy that you never take batters against. Joey Votto is the guy I trust the most, he is batting .329 against RHP and is really racking up the fantasy points every night.
- Away The Braves have struggled against Bailey in the past and I expect much of the same tonight. I keep getting pulled in by how low B.J. Upton price is, but I’m not falling for it this time after his 4 strikeout performance last night.

Pitchers
- Home Don’t look now but Travis Wood is putting together a very nice season. It could be a product of playing in the NL against a weak schedule, but nonetheless, he has pitched well. However, the Cardinals all hit lefties well and I don’t like him tonight. Avoid
- Away Lance Lynn gets the start tonight and has a great matchup on paper against the Cubs. But it just seems like everytime a pitcher is expected to have a nice game in Chicago, the Cubs bats come through. The BvP stats also favor the Cubs. That said, Lynn has been red hot lately, just make sure you don’t overpay for him if you want to take him.
Batters
- Home Starlin Castro is 5/13 with 2 XBH’s against Lynn and Anthony Rizzo is 3/5 against him with a HR. I don’t expect much out of the Cubs bats today, but they just keep on surprising me so you never know.
- Away I really like David Freese as a value play at 3B today. He is dirt cheap across the board and has always hit lefties well in his career. In addition to Freese, your usual Cardinals bats of Molina, Holliday, and Beltran are also in play.

Pitchers
- Home How about them Rangers almost getting shut out by Scott Feldman last night? That’s just how baseball is sometimes and I expect them to bounce back big in this one. Sorry Wily Peralta, too many earned runs for my taste. Avoid
- Away Justin Grimm has been the better of the two rookies for the Rangers, but I expect him to struggle tonight. Milwaukee is always a tough place to pitch and while he may pick up a good number of K’s, I think the Brewers bats get to him. Avoid
Batters
- Home As you can tell from the pitcher description, I think this game should be high scoring. The addition of Aramis Ramirez back into the lineup only helps the Brewers out tonight and I think it really helps out Ryan Braun. Look for him to have a big game.
- Away I’m expecting the Rangers bats to bounce back after last night’s performance. Adrian Beltre, Elvis Andrus, and Lance Berkman are the guys to target.
