Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in large-field tournaments?

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

CheeseIsGood: I prefer larger-field tournaments on this slate, where I can play a bigger group of offenses. I also think that we are going to end up with some concerning level of ownership on the Mariners in smaller-field contests, which should get spread out more in MME. I am not willing to fully fade the Mariners, and by getting over the field on them in MME, I can then use my other favorite stacks in the lineups that I use in single-entry contests. I don’t have a clear next-favorite offense, and I’ll be quite evenly spread out between the Rangers, Orioles, Red Sox, Dodgers, Rays, Brewers, and Diamondbacks. With that many offenses in my pool, I am going to keep a very narrowed-down pitcher pool, focusing on Chris Sale (DK) and Blake Snell up top and Dustin May and Matthew Liberatore for savings.

ebeimfohr: This slate is very straightforward in the smaller-field, single-entry tournaments I am focusing on. The arms at the top are leaps and bounds better than the rest of the pitching pool on both sites, so I will be spending up at pitching for the floor/ceiling combination of those aces. However, that will certainly not be a contrarian strategy, so I will be looking to find some cheap stacks and bats at lower pOWN%. The most-interesting element of the slate is that you can actually stack the Dodgers with elite pitching given their current lineup. The White Sox and Red Sox jump out as appealing options that have lower pOWN%.

boggslite: Single-entry is my preferred format tonight. Both Chris Sale (DK) and Blake Snell are expensive but worth their salaries, in my opinion, and I will have at least one of them in my DK lineups. On the hitting side, the Mariners are in a great spot in a minor-league ballpark against the A’s woeful pitching staff, so I will likely build around them and use some cheaper options from the Orioles and Rangers, who also have solid matchups.

Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field contests. I’m sure I will have some Mariners, but I expect to come in a little under the field on them. I get that the ballpark is a massive upgrade, and facing Jeffrey Springs and his 2.28 HR/9 makes it that much more appealing, but the Mariners’ active roster has the 2nd-lowest ISO vs. LHP this season. I expect them to be especially popular in the smaller-field contests I play, so I will likely mostly fade them. I’m more likely to play Dodgers, Yankees, and Rangers. I expect to have at least one of Blake Snell or Chris Sale on DK, and I’m going to at least try to pair them together.
