MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Monday, May 20
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
squirrelpatrol: Shohei Ohtani
ebeimfohr: Shohei Ohtani
eys819: Yordan Alvarez
How do you plan to beat the field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
squirrelpatrol: It’s a big enough slate with so many good options that I want to avoid spots that might see more pOWN% than they deserve. I’ll continue spending down at pitcher, with not much standing out at the position. So I’ll be targeting cheaper pitchers in good matchups while I spend up for power bats and stacks that might not see high ownership.
ebeimfohr: One of my favorite strategies in MLB DFS right now, given the pricing and state of pitching scoring, is to spend down at the position, especially when our opponents are not. We don’t have many pitchers who can really bury you with their fantasy score in today’s baseball, but we do have a plethora of super-elite hitting options with hefty price tags. So I’ll be looking to jam the best bats across the board with solid, cheaper pitching options, like Joe Ross and Michael Wacha, and even more unique options, like Ryan Weathers, Reese Olson, and Mitchell Parker.
eys819: I will be significantly under the field on Framber Valdez, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and Sonny Gray. I will be overweight on Pablo Lopez, Taj Bradley, Tanner Houck, Michael Wacha, and Joe Ross. Offense is spread out enough where I am not too concerned with pOWN%. Brewers, Astros, and Dodgers will be my highest-owned stacks.
