What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

stlcardinals84: I will be opting for about 25-30 entries in the large-field GPP contests. I feel pretty good about my approach, which is going to be virtually all-in with Coors Field bats (leaning toward Minnesota first) and cheaper pitchers. I just don’t see any high-end arms that are capable of breaking this slate, and I want to be able to fit in the best offenses. Minnesota is going to be popular with their high implied run total in Coors, but I love this matchup for them to potentially go off. Even if they are popular, I am more likely to have the optimal build if I have 20 or 25 Minnesota stacks with different pitchers around them, and I’ll take my chances on that being the best stack tonight.

Krayton: I will be playing 20-entry-max and single-entry contests on both sites, and this will be a slate where I spend down at pitching. I will be very overweight on both sides of Coors, especially the Rockies, which always carries lower ownership. I also like a stack of the Wrigley wind game mixed in with some Dodger bats, such as Shohei Ohtani, Will Smith, and Freddie Freeman. The Yankees are also a top stack, and spending down at pitcher gives you lots of options to play the top bats on the slate.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field contests, and I plan to get significantly overweight on both the Red Sox and Cubs with the wind blowing out at Wrigley. I don’t really love any of the expensive pitching, so I’ll be going cheap there while loading up on bats.

tcsmith031: Mostly 20-max contests for me tonight. This is a very ugly pitching slate, and I don’t see much of a need to prioritize the expensive options as a result. I’ll still have a dusting of Freddy Peralta and Sonny Gray, but I’ll likely have quite a bit more exposure to cheaper options like Lance McCullers, Kumar Rocker, Logan Allen, and Logan Evans. That’ll free up the salary to comfortably stack both sides of Coors along with pricey one-offs like Shohei Ohtani, Kyle Tucker, Aaron Judge, and Gunnar Henderson.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
