MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Sunday, June 16

How do you plan to beat the field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

stlcardinals84: I am going all in on the Cardinals/Cubs game for bats today. We have the perfect storm with a hot day and the wind blowing out at Wrigley Field. We also have two pitch-to-contact arms on the mound with Jameson Taillon going for the Cubs and Miles Mikolas going for the Cardinals. The over/under currently sits at 11 runs, which is the highest on the board — and I expect more runs than that.

Krayton: I will be underweight on the top-tier pitchers in Corbin Burnes, Zack Wheeler, and Dylan Cease, as they all have difficult matchups and are more expensive today. Although Bailey Ober has struggled in his last few outings, his price has come down, and he gets a great matchup against Oakland. I will be utilizing him along with Jose Berrios and Mitchell Parker.

tcsmith031: This is a terrific pitching slate with a host of legitimate aces along with a chalky Bailey Ober at home against the A’s. I’ll be getting to Ober quite a bit as an SP2 on DK despite the ownership, but I’m unlikely to have more than 25% of any of the other pitchers in an attempt to get as much exposure to the wealth of quality options we have on this slate.

TJ Zwarych: Multiple expensive pitchers are picking up a lot of projected ownership. I’ll look to be underweight on Dylan Cease, Zack Wheeler, and Corbin Burnes, as they’re all in really tough matchups, and I’ll be overweight on Bailey Ober, Tylor Megill, and Mitchell Parker.

Who is your top overall pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (Epignosis)

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
