MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Tuesday, May 26

Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

CheeseIsGood: Aaron Judge
headChopper: Aaron Judge
stevietpfl: Aaron Judge
Dean78904: Aaron Judge

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

CheeseIsGood: I have a very small pool of top-tier offenses and pitchers, and I prefer not to stray too far from them, which means I lean toward single-entry and smaller-field contests. I want to do everything I can to spend up at pitcher, which means that even if stacking teams like the Yankees or Dodgers, I’m willing to leave the most-expensive batters out of my lineups in order to get up to Chase Burns, Kyle Harrison, and Cam Schlittler. I will be using cheaper power bats to fill in around my few top stacks. This will include bats like Dominic Canzone, Gavin Sheets, Jackson Merrill, Kody Clemens, Trent Grisham, and Andrew Benintendi.

headChopper: I prefer small-field tournaments that have limited entries. I am only building 1 lineup on each site. It’s a pretty decent-sized slate, yet I am already down to about 5 pitchers that I will be choosing from, and those pitchers are ones gathering a good amount of pOWN%. It’s no big deal though because, as I’ve said before, it’s very easy to create a unique lineup in MLB. There are just so many hitters to choose from on a slate this size. I’ll probably do a full stack or maybe two mini stacks and round out the lineup by hunting for some home runs with one-offs.

stevietpfl: I’m going to focus on small-field tournaments. I have 3-5 offenses I like and was able to narrow down my pitching pool to 4-5 arms. When my pool is this narrow, I tend to play 3-5 lineups built around those players. I’m going to be overweight on Kyle Harrison and Chase Burns, while being underweight on Aaron Nola, Joe Ryan, and Cam Schlittler. I don’t typically like bullpen games, but this is a great spot for the Yankees on the road. I also like the Mariners on the road against Luis Severino. Those are going to be the main offenses I use.

Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field contests. My default is to prioritize arms over bats, as they are more predictive, and that is what I expect to do tonight. I’m not sure if I can pull it off, but I’m going to at least try and build a main DK lineup with two of Chase Burns, Cam Schlittler, and Kyle Harrison. If I can’t make that work, my SP2 will likely be one of Jack Leiter, Eduardo Rodriguez, or David Peterson. Early projections are suggesting I should consider playing Aaron Nola, and I’m just not going to do that.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
