Happy Wednesday! We have another 10-game slate with a pretty tangled-up group of pitchers and then a much more obvious top tier on the hitting side. It is yet another slate without any weather concerns, and also another slate without any great hitting conditions from either the weather or the ballparks.

Wednesday Pitching: MLB DFS Picks on FanDuel & DraftKings
There is a large top tier that lacks clarity. I will pick out some favorites here, but there are a lot of ways you could go with this group:
TOP TIER PITCHING
Sonny Gray at Brewers – 30% K, 6% BB, 3.96 ERA, 3.09 SIERA
George Kirby at A’s – 23% K, 3.2% BB, 3.63 ERA, 3.61 SIERA
Zac Gallen at Giants – 23% K, 8.4% BB, 3.87 ERA, 4.05 SIERA
Charlie Morton vs. Rockies – 24% K, 8.9% BB, 4.26 ERA, 4.01 SIERA
Shota Imanaga vs. Pirates – 25% K, 3.9% BB, 3.14 ERA, 3.55 SIERA
Seth Lugo vs. Guardians – 21.2% K, 6% BB, 3.12 ERA, 4.03 SIERA
Nathan Eovaldi vs. Yankees – 24.5% K, 5.7% BB, 3.60 ERA, 3.51 SIERA
Tanner Houck at Mets – 20.8% K, 6.7% BB, 3.12 ERA, 3.79 SIERA
There are no pitchers above $10,000 on DK, which makes it fairly easy to play whoever you want, certainly at SP1.
The first thing I expect everyone to notice is that Charlie Morton is just $8,200 on DK, $9,100 on FD, and facing the Rockies. As much as I like that matchup, I am not excited about Charlie Morton chalk. He has gotten the strikeouts back up recently, so the upside is there for him to be the SP1 on this slate, and I wouldn’t argue with anyone who plays him as their highest-owned pitcher. I simply don’t trust his control or consistency enough to warrant being super popular on a slate with this many good pitchers. If the projected ownership numbers do not come in high, I’ll reconsider, but for now, I’m planning for an underweight stance on Morton.
That means I’m looking to spend up to be ‘different,’ although it’s not like…
