MLB DFS Picks: Top Stacks for Friday, June 27th

Opto% Stack

Padres at Nick Martinez

The Padres are an outstanding MLB DFS stack against Nick Martinez, leading the slate with the best optimal stack rate, best stack rating, and the 5th-best Value% in our projections. Their implied run total of 4.76 runs signals strong offensive potential.

Martinez is an extreme strike thrower who has struggled to miss bats, striking out just 14.7% of righties this season while allowing a .226 ISO. This combination of low-strikeout ability and high power allowed makes him highly vulnerable to the Padres’ potent lineup.

While lefty bats are viable, Fernando Tatis and Manny Machado stand out as elite plays, given their ability to capitalize on Martinez’s weaknesses. The Padres’ lineup is well-positioned to generate both power and run production in this matchup.

With projection, value, and matchup all aligning, the Padres are one of the top stacks to target on today’s slate.

Value% Stack

Twins at Sawyer Gipson-Long

The Twins are an appealing MLB DFS stack today against Sawyer Gipson-Long, offering the 8th-best stack rating and 3rd-best Value% in our projections, with an implied run total of 4.11 runs. This is primarily a salary-driven stack, as every hitter in the projected lineup except Byron Buxton is priced below $3,500 on DraftKings, making the Twins one of the most affordable offenses on the slate.

Minnesota’s lineup, featuring value bats like Trevor Larnach, Matt Wallner, Willi Castro, Brooks Lee, and Kody Clemens, is simply too cheap for their talent level and matchup.

This pricing allows you to stack the Twins and still afford elite pitching or high-priced bats from other teams. Even if the Twins aren’t the highest-upside stack, their value and flexibility make them an outstanding option for lineup construction.
