MLB DFS Picks: Top Stacks for Tuesday, June 24th
Opto% Stack
Dodgers at German Marquez
The Dodgers stand out as a solid MLB DFS stack against German Marquez, boasting the best optimal stack rate in projections and the 4th-best stack rating. Their massive implied run total of 7.65 runs highlights their explosive upside in this matchup. While the Dodgers could be popular, current pricing dynamics mean that stacking them fully is challenging unless you opt for cheaper pitching, which may limit their overall chalkiness.
Given the high salaries of stars like Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman, Mookie Betts, and Will Smith, you could pivot to mini stacks or individual bats rather than forcing in four or five Dodgers. This approach can help maintain lineup flexibility and differentiate from the field.
The Dodgers’ lineup depth and elite run-scoring environment make them a strong play, but the need to balance salary cap constraints with pitching quality means full stacks may be less common. Ultimately, the Dodgers’ combination of projection, power, and run-scoring potential makes them a great stack, but roster construction will need to be taken into consideration.

Opto% Stack
Braves at Frankie Montas
The Braves are an excellent MLB DFS stack against Frankie Montas, supported by their 5th-best optimal stack rate and stack rating in our projections, as well as a strong implied run total of 4.87 runs. Montas is making his first start of the season following an injury and struggled mightily during his rehab, posting just a 12.4% strikeout rate and a 10.3% walk rate over 6 minor league starts. These numbers suggest Montas is not yet in top form and may be returning out of necessity due to the Mets’ injury woes.
Last season, Montas was especially vulnerable to lefties, allowing a .220 ISO and .379 wOBA, making Matt Olson and the cheaper Braves lefties prime stacking targets. While Montas was more effective against righties in the past, his current lack of sharpness makes the entire Braves lineup appealing, especially if salary allows for including stars like Ronald Acuna and Austin Riley. Given Montas’s uncertain health and recent struggles, the Braves offer significant upside and are one of the top stacks on the slate.
