MLB Player Props Today
- Ranger Suarez u4.5 Strikeouts
- Tarik Skubal o5.5 Strikeouts
- Steven Kwan More Than 0.5 Strikeouts
Ranger Suarez u4.5 Strikeouts (-155), BetMGM
According to Matt Gelb, Ranger Suarez is on a pitch count today, though the Philadelphia Phillies have been non-committal as to the exact number. All we know is that Suarez has not pitched in a game at the big-league level or otherwise since August 13. Todd Zolecki reported that Suarez threw live batting practice on August 28, but that is hardly a good litmus test for his return to the mound. Adding to the read here, the Milwaukee Brewers own the 3rd-lowest strikeout percentage in baseball against southpaws since August 15. The under is a great look in this spot.
Tarik Skubal o5.5 Strikeouts (-110), FanDuel
Entering play on Sunday, Tarik Skubal has eclipsed this market number in three consecutive starts. Today, he gets to face the swing-happy Chicago White Sox, which rank 24th in strikeout percentage against left-handed pitching since August 15. According to props.cash, five of the last six left-handed starters to face the White Sox have hit the over on their strikeout prop. At near even-money, this is a great look for Sunday – especially with the strikeout-friendly Will Little calling balls and strikes.
MLB DFS Pick’em
Steven Kwan More Than 0.5 Hitter Strikeouts, PrizePicks
We typically target high-contact hitters in this article and trust them to put the ball in play. However, there is a rare 4:10 p.m. EST first pitch at Progressive Field today, which is going to make life extremely difficult on hitters, who will have to contend with challenging shadows during the early portion of the contest. Taj Bradley has struck out 34.1% of the left-handed hitters he has faced in the big leagues this season. He has a good chance to get Steven Kwan at least once today.
