Happy Saturday, Grinders. We find ourselves on the brink of 2020 as Week 17 begins and ends on Sunday. For many NFL teams, the focus will shift towards next season. For some, the attention is turned towards a playoff run. For a select few, Week 17 is very meaningful as playoff positioning hangs in the balance. Last week, I missed a perfect sweep when Devonta Freeman, after a hot start, could not exceed his rushing total. In this article, I look to the NFC East for a season-ending props sweep.

NFL Betting Picks Week 17 — QB Player Prop for Eagles at Giants

Carson Wentz Over/Under 267.5 Passing Yards (use our FanDuel promo code to get these odds)

Admittedly, the props offered by online betting sites are pretty sparse considering the uncertainty of playing time in Week 17. Personally, I want to attack situations where teams are still motivated to win. The Eagles must win on Sunday to secure their bid as the NFC East champion. An Eagles’ loss — coupled with a Dallas victory (we’ll get back to this) — would mean the Cowboys move on to the playoffs. Philadelphia is highly motivated in a great matchup.

Often mentioned in this article, the Giants’ pass defense has not improved. Last week, the Giants surrendered 281 passing yards to the tandem of Dwayne Haskins and Case Keenum. This week, the Giants will welcome Carson Wentz and a beleaguered receiving battery. That said, the Eagles will still look to take advantage of a bad defense with the likes of Dallas Goedert, Greg Ward, and — checks depth chartJJ Arcega-Whiteside.

I fully expect the Giants to take advantage of an opportunity to close the season with a big victory against a divisional foe. For that reason, I expect the Eagles to air it out for four quarters. I will take the over on Wentz.

My Pick: Over 267.5 Passing Yards -112

NFL Betting Picks Week 17 — RB Player Prop for Cowboys at Redskins

Ezekiel Elliott Over/Under 90.5 Rushing Yards (use our DraftKings promo code to get these odds)

On a related note, the Cowboys must beat the Redskins on Sunday and hope the Giants pull off that aforementioned victory. With a victory and Philadelphia loss, the Cowboys would vault into the fourth seed of the NFC Playoffs and host a home game on Wild Card weekend.

Last week was pretty bad for the Dallas offense. Despite playing a weak secondary, the Cowboys passing game never really got on track. Ezekiel Elliott was not used much — given only 13 carries after seeing 24 and 19 in the previous two weeks. Surely, Jason Garrett will feel it appropriate to force the ball to Elliott repeatedly in a must-win game.

The Washington Redskins welcome the Cowboys with a fourth-worst rushing defense with respect to yards per game. The Skins allow 141.1 rushing yards per game and has gone up over the last three contests (179 yards per game over the last three). In Week 2, Elliott received 23 carries and eclipsed 100 yards. I imagine something similar will happen in Week 17. Book a highly motivated over.

My Pick: Over 90.5 Rushing Yards -112

NFL Betting Picks Week 17 — WR Player Prop for Eagles at Giants

Greg Ward Over/Under 3.5 Receptions (DraftKings)

Many of the points in favor of Greg Ward exceeding his receptions total were mentioned above. The Eagles receiving corps is a skeleton crew with Zach Ertz now out because of broken ribs. Already without Alshon Jeffrey and Nelson Agholor, Greg Ward has all of a sudden become the top receiver in Philadelphia.

With Ertz in the fold, Ward saw 9, 9, and 5 targets over the past few weeks. Ertz had 29 targets during that same time frame — leaving the Philadelphia receivers with plenty of targets to soak up. Against a weak secondary, Ward seeing double-digit targets is not out of the question. This number feels too low and has already been bet accordingly. Jump on this over before it costs even more.

My Pick: Over 3.5 Receptions -136
