What is your favorite correlation and why?

Notorious: Jacoby Brissett + Michael Wilson or Trey McBride + Cam Skattebo – I’m typically not one to stack any game that features the Giants, but I like a lot of pieces from this game. Let’s start with Brissett, who has topped 20 fantasy points in 10 of his last 15 games dating back to last season. That’s elite production at his current price point. You can pair him up with Wilson (43% air-yards share) or McBride (28% target share). I like bringing the Arizona stack back with Skattebo, who played on 77% of the snaps last week and had 23 touches.

stevietpfl: C.J. Stroud + Dalton Schultz + CeeDee Lamb – After 22 targets through the first 2 games, Schultz had 3 targets in Week 3. It was a disappointing game for him, but I’m going right back to the well. The Cowboys’ defense has struggled to start the season, and they’ve allowed the 8th-most fantasy points to tight ends. They’ve also allowed the 3rd-most fantasy points to quarterbacks. They’re dealing with a lot of injuries in the secondary, and I think Stroud has the ceiling for a big game at a great price. If this game turns into a shootout, I want to run it back with Lamb. He has a 40.2% air-yards share and 23.8% target share. He has 20 catches for 309 yards through the first 3 games. I think this game has a lot of potential, and I want to be overweight on the passing games.

Krayton: Patrick Mahomes + Kenneth Walker III + Brock Bowers – This is a great matchup for Mahomes. He has been playing like the elite QB he is once again this season. I like pairing him with Kenneth Walker III and trying to capture all the points for this Chiefs offense in a game that has a nice total. Walker will be popular on FD especially, as he’s rushed for 360 yards this season and has 4 TDs. QB ownership looks to be very spread out once again. On the other side, I like spending all the way up for Brock Bowers, who started his season debut last week with a bang, going for 116 yards while scoring a TD.

ebeimfohr: Lamar Jackson + Zay Flowers – The Ravens have the highest team total of the week behind the Bills, but absolutely no one is interested in playing this stack. The Titans actually look like they might be more of a pass funnel, with an above-average run defense and a bottom-8 pass defense in EPA/play allowed. The Ravens offensive line is also dealing with some injuries that I think will make it tougher on Derrick Henry (despite the revenge angle), but Lamar’s mobility and wizardry can withstand that. Lamar is so efficient that limited dropbacks are not a major issue, and he scored nearly 30 DK points Week 1 with just 25 pass attempts. Flowers rested during Friday’s practice, but he was a full participant Wednesday and Thursday, and he could break the slate with great route participation this week. He has scored 1.58 fantasy points per route this season, averaging north of 9 yards per route run and being targeted on 12 of his 25 routes. He scored more than 15 PPR points last week on just 14 routes, and he’s turning into one of the best fantasy WRs in the game, but he’s going completely unowned. If the Titans can push the Ravens (who are 21st in defensive EPA/play), the ceiling is nuclear for this duo.

ncorfield8k: Kyler Murray + Jordan Addison + T.J. Hockenson – Justin Jefferson hasn’t missed a game since 2023. And in 2023, Addison averaged 7.6 targets and 14.7 PPR fantasy points per game (FPPG) in games without Jefferson compared to 5.4 targets and 11.84 FPPG with Jefferson. Hockenson averaged 9.9 targets and 17.31 FPPG without Jefferson compared to 7.3 targets and 12.35 FPPG with Jefferson. While I’m not sure if those splits will hold up three years later and with a different quarterback, I love making that bet when Murray is not projected for much ownership and in a great matchup with the Dolphins.

Davis Mattek: Brock Purdy + Deebo Samuel – Deebo technically did not have a reception last week but scored an 80-yard TD on a hook-and-ladder play. Purdy is playing the best ball of his career right now, and I do not expect Mike Evans to play. Historically, when star players have gone out for Kyle Shanahan offenses, the other available stars just get the ball more often. George Kittle and Christian McCaffrey will likely be very heavily owned, and Deebo will be the forgotten man.

Jordan Vanek: Joe Burrow + Ja’Marr Chase + Bhayshul Tuten – Starting with Tuten, he played 67% of the snaps in the 1st half last week, and as the season progresses, I feel like he’s going to fully take over this backfield. The Bengals were this “changed” defense through the first 2 weeks, but maybe their opponents (Texans and Buccaneers) weren’t good-enough offenses to properly judge them against. Last week against the Steelers, Jaylen Warren had 176 total yards and averaged 7.5 yards per carry. I’ll buy that Tuten is capable of a big performance in this matchup and maybe finds the end zone too. On the other side, Burrow hasn’t had a 100-yard receiver in a game yet this season, and I think this is the game where that changes. The Jaguars have allowed one of the worst yards-per-attempt marks in the league, and they really haven’t faced a great passing offense yet. Chase is usually the piece that leads the way when Burrow has one of those explosive games, and I’m buying into that happening here.

Who’s your favorite contrarian play (below 10% pOWN%) and why?

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
