As if the Florida Panthers didn’t have enough problems trying to compete in the Atlantic Division it now appears that they will be without right winger Evgenii Dadonov on a ‘shorter then longer’ term basis. Those are the words used by head coach Bob Boughner on Sunday afternoon. Look for Colton Sceviour or Denis Malgin, who was just called up yesterday, to take his place with Aleksander Barkov and Jonathan Huberdeau on the team’s top line. Huberdeau leads the team with 15 assists and 22 points while Vincent Trocheck leads the team with nine goals in the first 22 games. Trocheck wasn’t moved up to the top line which makes him one of the better one-off plays in this evenings contests as he will skate on the top power play line when the Panthers have the extra attacker. It also doesn’t hurt that he is tied with both Dadonov and Huberdeau for the team lead in both power play goals and power play assists as they all have three of each.
