Welcome to the RotoGrinders cup o’morning joe. Start your day off right here, as we sort through yesterday’s happenings and take a peek at the upcoming DFS day.

In Case You Missed It

The Perfect Lineup – If you enjoy learning about the lives of other DFS players, or want to know what the atmosphere of a live final is like, check out the trailer for “Perfect Lineup” in this thread. The film captures the lifestyles of several DFS players all the way back to the 2014 FFFC. If you want to support the project, there is even a Kickstarter in the thread. Even if you don’t want to support it, the trailer is pretty cool and the movie should be great.

FanDuel Live Scoring – If you played FanDuel last night, you probably noticed the updated live scoring page. Deva from FanDuel has the details in this forum thread. You can now view your entries by lineup or contest. The main view also has a status bar similar to the iPhone app that lets you know how far away from cash your team is. Overall, it looks pretty sweet. Go check it out if you haven’t already.

Kelvin Benjamin – The Carolina Panthers did not have a good day yesterday. If you felt the need to draft your season long league in July, neither did you (if you have Kelvin Benjamin). The Panthers star WR tore his ACL on this play in practice. Naturally, this lead to some people searching for the Panthers value WR who is likely to rise. I don’t recommend looking into this. I took one look at the Panthers WR depth chart and now my eyes are on fire. Corey Brown? Devin Funchess? Brenton Bersin? PASS! Actually, no, don’t pass! No one will catch it.

DraftKings CFB – While they haven’t yet posted their games, DraftKings has updated the rules for college football. DK decided to remove the TE position and turn it into a FLEX position. All TEs will now be listed at WR. That leaves the roster format on DK as QB, QB , RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, FL, FL. Feel free to chime in with your thoughts on the changes in this forum thread

MLB Recap – How did you night go? You won? Cool, give me a five! No really, give me a five! You probably did win if you pay attention to the wind blowing out at Wrigley. Every time even the slightest breeze is blowing towards the outfield, some DFS players get that look in their eye. Sadly, the wind blowing out hasn’t worked as well as it used to this year. Last night, for just one night, things returned to normal. The Tigers and Cubs combined for 23 runs. Even Daniel “Van Man” Norris (the Tigers pitcher) hit one out. Meanwhile, the Toronto Blue Jays “chalk stack” was mostly shut down by Adam Morgan and the Phillies. Oh yeah, one last note, Corey Kluber allowed six runs on just six hits with four being home runs. Oh baseball! Let’s see if any DFS players were able to take advantage.

Big Winners – On FanDuel, lovesbases apparently loves wind and Tigers. He managed to take down the Monster and land several top 10 finishes. Jegro21 won the FD Slam, reiserdiscovery won the early Monster and Grand Slam, heartboy won the Rally, jaydeez won the Slugger, zack1288 won the Sqeeze, ryazan200 won the early Slugger, mrjamesdio won the early Rally, and agutierrez69 won the early Squeeze. Over on DraftKings, underjones won the Perfect Game, jvee won the Payoff Pitch, ptskills won the Moonshot, stinger88 won the Gold Glove, raiderhater82 won the early Payoff Pitch, cashupcash won the early Perfect Game, and anniegunz won the early Moonshot.
