NFL Week 15 kicks off in Baltimore as Lamar Jackson and the Ravens try to extend their win streak to 10 games. A win should come easy as online sports betting sites sites favor the Ravens by 16.5 points over the New York Jets.

Thursday Night Football Betting Odds: Jets at Ravens

Thursday Night Football Betting Picks: Jets at Ravens

Thursday Night Football is back with a matchup so bad that they only way to watch it is to bet on it. The Ravens are in prime position to get a bye and home-field advantage in the AFC playoffs thanks to a nine-game winning streak led by MVP front-runner Lamar Jackson.

The Jets, on the other hand, are dead in the water with a 5-8 record. Four of their five wins have come over the last five weeks. Too little, too late for Adam Gase. Now it’s all about continuing to develop second-year quarterback Sam Darnold.

Jackson questionable with a quad injury

Jackson is questionable on the Ravens’ injury report due to a quad injury that occurred during Baltimore’s 24-17 win over the Buffalo Bills. It was only a matter of time before the dual-threat quarterback ended up on the injury report. Jackson has endured 38 more hits than Josh Allen and 43 more hits than Kyler Murray. He’s taken 158 hits so far, putting the likely MVP on pace to break Cam Newton QB record for most hits in a season.

As for his status Thursday night, there’s not much to worry about at least in terms of Jackson starting. Though he was limited in practice on Monday and Tuesday, Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh assured reporters that the injury wasn’t serious. Jackson relayed the same message a bit more confidently. “I feel great. I feel good. I’m 100 [percent],” Jackson told reporters.

Jackson may feel 100 percent, and even though it sounds like he’ll be a go Thursday night, I’m not sure Harbaugh will utilize Jackson in the way we’ve seen over the course of the season.

The Ravens have a 1.5-game lead on the Patriots, so this is by no means a must-win in order to maintain home-field advantage for the playoffs. Keeping Jackson healthy by minimizing his runs is far more important than blowing out the Jets on Thursday Night Football. Harbaugh is sharp enough to be conservative with his franchise quarterback on a short week. Regardless of the opponent, 16.5 points is already a huge spread. Considering the circumstances, I like betting on the Jets to keep it within 16.5.

Thursday Night Football Betting Pick: Jets +16.5

Thursday Night Football Player Props— Jets at Ravens

Mark Ingram Over 55.5 Rushing Yards -112 at FanDuel Sportsbook – Mark Ingram role will expand if Jackson does in fact have a smaller role on the ground. Interestingly, in the seven games where Ingram has rushed at least 14 times Ingram has gained 59+ yards. If the Ravens have the lead throughout the game as the spread suggests, Ingram should get a healthy dose of carries as the Ravens preserve Jackson’s legs.

Marquise Brown Over 47.5 Yards – The one guy on the field faster than Jackson? Marquise “Hollywood” Brown. The rookie from Oklahoma can turn on the jets and thus turn a couple of catches into 48 yards in a hurry. His ceiling is very high in DFS.

NFL Futures Update

Jackson and the Ravens, not Tom Brady and the Patriots, are the favorites to win Super Bowl 54 in Miami this February. At +245, the time has passed to lock the Ravens in as a Super Bowl bet. Jackson is even a bigger favorite to win the MVP at -1000 odds, meaning you have to risk $10 to win $1. He really does seem like a lock at this point. Hopefully you grabbed Jackson +150 when we looked at updated future odds in Week 12. If you didn’t, we have three more NFL futures bets worth considering in Week 15.
