Week 1 Fantasy Football Tight End Rankings
If you took Travis Kelce in the first round, your fantasy football season likely was off to a poor start. Taking the safest route at the ugly position known as tight end and then having the rug pulled out from under you straight away can be discouraging.
Always remember that season-long fantasy football is exactly that: Season long. Successfully navigating the TE wasteland is one way to gain an edge on your opponents on a week-to-week basis. To that end, here are the Week 1 fantasy football tight end rankings!

Fantasy Football Tight End Notes
Mark Andrews misses the top spot for a couple of reasons. First, he’s questionable with a quad injury that has kept him out of multiple consecutive practices. Second, Houston was middle of the pack last season against tight ends. In what should be an easily winnable home game for Lamar Jackson and company, Baltimore should be able to keep their entire season in mind and be conservative with Andrews through Week 1.
Meanwhile, the Seattle Seahawks were second worst last year defending the tight end position. Tyler Higbee begins the season without teammate Cooper Kupp. Given the Rams’ miserable defense and Geno Smith taking a big leap forward last year, Higbee should see greater opportunity than usual if the Rams can keep this one close.
If you find yourself in need of a Week 1 filler at the position, check on the availability of Greg Dulcich (DEN), Gerald Everett (LAC), Tyler Conklin (NYJ), Dawson Knox (BUF), and Luke Musgrave (GBP). These should be serviceable players this week if you find yourself hurting at the position.
Good luck in Week 1!
